my personal favourite is fifa and other sports games like racing and basketball. It's a matter of fact that today games are part of a million dollar industry and each year the quality and essence of games are improving tremendously and it has become an integral part of our lives. well. some studies shows that games like warcraft involving a strategy actually improves your brain activity and helps you in building up your brain and makes it sharper. Well it's time our parents start seeing these studies. :)

I am a father of 3 children. I played Warcraft, Civ2, Starcraft, Ages of Empire, and Diablo. My children likes Warcraft, the Sims, Starcraft and Civ2. I do think that playing games is a form of brain exercise. But game playing can not replace the normal social interaction like having meals and TV together. A family just can't let Battle.net be the only meeting place for a night out even it is a virtual one. We still have to hammer in our kids' head that there is still a real world out there.
