Have you thrown you old floppy disks away?

That is a question I ask most people. It's totally random, but interesting to me.
We all used to use floppy disks around ten years ago, but now computers can't even read them (or at least those that are sold now can't. Our old ones will always be able to. Well, till they die.)!
I have personally kept all of my old floppy disks, since I have so many in such pretty colors! I made "art" with them. If you search "floppy disk art" you'll know what I mean.
How about you? Did you keep your old floppy disks?

I don't even know the difference between the different kinds of floppy disks... I only use them for their looks.

hi anafilipa
it has been when the floppy disk has been terminated because of our technology today, i admit that i have a usb now , but i have still a floppy disk here in my room i kept it just for a remembrance to show to the next generation that there is a floppy disk and what the floppy disk looks like i like to have a remembrance of this because the technology now a days is different.

That's a good point. We should show future generations technology from the past and present.

Yup I have my floppy disks..
Its a memory for me..
When my dad got the first computer at home..
and me and my brother use to fight over saving our personal files and folders..
so dad gave us a bunch each..
One of them I had stored music..
The other I had some files from school..
The other i had made a diary and I use to write it..
and I had put a sticker and done some drawing!!
even putting a tag saying "do not touch"..
hehe, I dont think so i would ever want to throw them ever..
They are precious to me!

Aw! I don't have many floppy disk memories (lol, that sounds funny), since I was very little when they stopped being used. But I remember we used to draw on Microsoft Paint in kindergarten, and I'd save my drawing on my hot pink floppy disk.

Floppy disks are now obsolete so I threw some of them and I kept some as a memory of the past.

Aww, I'm sorry, I guess. You can still buy them at some places, although they've been discontinued.

i have not kept one because we don't have desktop computers anymore..our computer cannot read floppy disks too..also it would be great to keep them if we still have those old desktop computer that are able to read them..i think it's great to have them as a remembrance especially those on colorful colors..

Yes, the colors are great. My main computer is a laptop too, so it can't read floppy disks either.
But I don't have them to actually use them as floppy disks.

Hi
I have not kept any floppy disk, i have thrown all them away. But i find this you are doing very very sweet and beautiful. Maybe you want to keep generally old stuff that reminds you the past for ex. old vinyl records which i still keep.
so good for you for keeping your floppy disks!
