Nuclear future report

A draft report into Australia's nuclear future has recommended the local industry open more mines and begin uranium enrichment. The nuclear task force, headed by former Telstra chief executive Ziggy Switkowski, has found skills shortages, commercial and technological barriers needed to be addressed to start nuclear enrichment in Australia. It says Australia is well positioned to increase the production and export of uranium to meet market demand. Australia holds about 40 percent of the world's uranium reserves. Mr Switkowski says he will give a final report to the government before the end of this year. http://www.skynews.com.au/business/story.asp?id=139301

The nuclear debate has been going on for years. There are points for and against nuclear energy - like there are points for and against burning coal deposits for electricity. Which on eis better? Which one is right? We have to believe that the powers that be will make the right decision for us and future generations.
