What’s your opinion about the prediction?

Do you also believe that the earth along with all forms of life on it will come to an end in 2012? Is there any scientific background behind such a prediction? Are you afraid of such a probability? How would you react if you are sure that the end is knocking at the doors? But fortunately, NASA has ruled out any such possibility and so you need not pass your days in worries and anxieties any more.

No, I don't believe it. Actually I don't even think it is a real prediction since it is mainly based on the calender of a civilization that disappeared about a thousand years ago ending then. Apparently they weren't even good at predicting their own end.

If I was to believe on forecast or predictions like that, then I should say that the Earth will not end at least within next 35 years. It is because, people also have predicted with my horoscope that I will be alive at least up to 60 years. If the Earth was to be destroyed before that, then my horoscope will contradict the former prediction. Hence, I would love not to believe in these things and worry myself!!!
Have a great day!

While I do think that there is something that is going to happen somewhere in the world in December of this year that is going to change the way that human beings look at the world and the universe around us, I honestly don't believe that all lifeforms are going to come to an end at that time.
I really can't explain why it is that I feel that way, but it is something that I've thought a lot about.

Probably not in December 2012, but it is possible. The current prediction is early 2013 or in about 400 days from now. NASA was the one who showed us that it would all end in 2012. Can you show us where they have completely ruled this out & why? The UN & other climate scientists are also pointing to an abrupt end around the end of 2012 & have substantial documentation to back up their claims which they have been voicing since around 2000 & especially since 2006. You can see this in action for yourself as our "natural disasters" are increasing constantly in both frequency & intensity all over the world.
This is the problem with any prediction. They change day by day & hour by hour due to the attitudes & behaviour of the people on earth. This world was brought into being by the good karma of a great many beings; it is now coming to an end due to all the bad karma being created by the people here.

Vegan..if that were indeed so, scientists would be trying to evacuate people and all energies would have been focused on finding and moving to the new location. At times, we are fed information partially, and selectively. While some researchers may have drawn such conclusions, it is not every scientist in NASA perhaps who believes in this possibility, and they may have their reasons to think of 2013 or whatever is not the right day either.
Would love to know if the scientists who declared such things are busy enjoying their lives, liquidating all their assets, advising government to end its coffers and let people enjoy their lives, which are not going to be there for long, and to recall armed forces from middleeast (they've done it but they didnt do it aroun 2006 right?), and so on.
Why dont I see anything like that from government's end if it is indeed true?
I will add here..as per one set of predictions, I am to live till age 74 and a half. I am 52 and a half. So I have a long way to go, right? It certainly is not 2012 or 2013. You are reading in between the lines. But in all probability that was not the intention.

Gotta love that mentality... it's in the movies, so it must be true!

I'm not saying I don't believe with their theories and predictions. They spent most of the time researching relevant information about our world " Life As we know it" .and I'd say they were expert on that part they studied heavily, informing all people living on the same planet about the happenings of the Earth.I know it will come so soon but I have no clue when, where, how it ends.
Do you still remember Jay Sean song "2012". The song was released on year 2009.I still remember the sequence of the countries which they particularly pointed out " New YorK, London to Japan". Maybe we can play it once more because they talked about year 2012 and we are in the year 2012.It's nice to hear it again.

What does NASA have to do with it? big wig scientists? I think that if it is going to happen it will and that's all there is to it. I have been hearing these Earths coming to an end things since the 60's. I think it is smart to have some water and dry goods stored regardless. Just because we have been having so many extreme weather happenings all over that I feel it is only smart.

I never worry about the prediction day. I believe in my God. I believe that everyday living is a happy day. So, it's no problem if there is a prediction day.

I honestly doubt that the world will end in 2012. But in general, I think the world, or lets say the earth will no longer be around one day, I will say sure it will end. Everything does, so why is the earth any different. But I also think that man can aide in the destruction of this planet.

Well the world is at unrest it seems. But I doubt anything major will happen in the next few years. The only thing I could really imagine in our lifetime would be nuclear holocaust, ww3, pandemic, or something directly attributable to man, something much more direct than global warming type scares. And even in the event it did occur I don't see life and probably not even man kind going extinct. There has been life on this earth for billions of years as best science can tell. I highly doubt it will end any time soon.

about that December 21, 2012, i am so very afraid because after that day, when December 22, 2012 starts, its the end of the scam and hoaxes, no more "End of the World" scaring reports ever publish or aired....
because people on that December 22, 2012 will realize their big mistake, a myth is just a myth, and nothing further.
that is the last false report that makes an overall total of 1,000 hoaxes and scams ever invented by man.

My opinion is that the earth will not come to an end in 2012. Maybe are some scientific background behind this prediction but those are secret. I'm not afraid of such probality cause no one now's exaclty when the earth end will come. If I new that the end is knocking at doors i probably react normaly because god decide when life will end on earth. I don't thing that NASA has ruled such probality like those metioned cause they have nothing to do whe the end of world will come.

I am absolutely not worried about some weird paranormal ending to the earth and everything in it. I am afraid of an epic economic collapse that is mathematically un-inevitable. But for the 2012 people, I would just like them to show some proof. When NASA comes out and basically says all the 2012 stuff is BS, I believe them. If the people who believe in 2012 show legitimate evidence then I will believe.

I wondered, now that it is the year 2012, when this topic would rear its head again. Last year there were countless discussions on the end of time or the end of the earth… it’s all just fiction. I’ve seen TV shows on it on Discovery and science channels and they bring up the question if the calendar just got lost or if they just got tired of continuing with the days. Whatever the case, there will always be people who fear it and want to instill fear into others. I wouldn’t worry about the end of the world. It’s lasted a very long time and it will continue to last a long time unless some asteroid hits it and then we might get wiped out. I still wouldn't worry about it... nothing we could do if that really happened.

The Earth will not come to an end in 2012. Many say that it will on the Winter Solstice of 2012 (Dec. 21st), because of the Mayan calendar saying so. The Mayan calendar is supposed to be based on patterns, or so I heard; it doesn't seem to be synchronizing with current events :P

no, it's all nonsense, if this was the case why didn't the rapture end everything, predictions are nothing, this world will not end in our life time, maybe a few million years from now, maybe, but 2012, nah!

Hi
You don't have to worry about 2012. Many theories have been around this topic but in my opinion these were done only for money. All these people, with all their books and theories about the earth destruction in 2012, have already gained large amounts of money. If you search more you will find out that many others have predicted the earth's end in 2003,2008 and 2010. In other words the Earth has been to an end many many times but nothing has never happened!
So DON'T WORRY! Happy 2012!
