Steve Jobs knows to everyone but Dennis Ritchie

Last month 2 Technical Pioneers of the world, steve jobs and Dennis Ritchie had passed away. Almost all of us know SteveJobs, the apple gigant but who is Dennis Ritchie, I know you may heard his name some where but not familar. He is the founder of C langauge and UNIX OS, by his work only the operating systems where made, the system(apart from apple) which we works are because of the base work done by dennis, but the world forgets him. His death was not even known to many of us.
Steve Jobs is known to all over the world and one of the house hold name but why not Dennis Ritchie can't get famous as like steve. Lets remain Dennis Ritchie atleast in mylot and share the news to our friends. Share interesting story about Dennis !

Yeah, its an irony that very few of us care to know who the founder of C is. Ritchie's name is common among us engineering students but if you ask a common man, he'd probably say "Dennis Ritchie who...?".
Its probably because very few of us are interested in learning programing languages. The mere complexity and labor involved in sitting on a computer for hours, trying to understand, phrase and type a program for any particular application is an absurd thought for most of us.
While this is not the case with Steve. You see... his gifts touched our lives directly, and besides, he choose to launch and endorse apples' products himself, which made him a household name.
Ritchie belonged to the class of heroes who worked behind the curtains to make our computing experience more pleasant and will always be a role model for our I.T. industry.

Yeah, and its good to see that interest in programing sector is being rediscovered as there is huge demand for it in the iphone and android application markets. Very soon will come a day when every child will know how to type "Hello World" in C.
