Would you pay 50 cents (20 Pesos) to rent a study room for an hour?

I'm planning to put up a business and it's all about studying. The space I will be using will be having 8x8 sqm rooms, just big enough for a study table a chair to fit in. It will be air conditioned and well lit I will personally hire an Interior designer and an Architect to make sure the ambiance of each room will be perfect for students who need to concentrate on their studies and get away from all the distractions at home. Each tiny room will be sound proof to make sure they don't get distracted. a cup of coffee will also be free of charge for the first hour. Im planning to make 6 of these tiny rooms for studying. My target market are law students, students taking up medicine, and people who just need to get away from the distractions of home, people who need some hardcore studying and focus for a big exam coming up.
So this is kinda new, that's why I am wondering, would you spend money for a small space conducive for studying?

Well, what can I say?......... Where are you when I was still studying?! Hahaha...
I just hope that you had already started your plan when I was still studying.
In my opinion, I think that would be good specially now a days where some people even the neighbors doesn't think that what they're doing such as singing using a videoke, is actually one of the distractions among the students specially the ones who are reviewing for their examinations.
20 Pesos is not as bad for me. I just don't know if our students can manage that price. For some, maybe, specially the ones who came from universities. But how about the ones from who are studying in public schools?
Your idea is good and interesting but please think twice of your price in between private and public school students.
I think, for 20 Pesos, just add some more little things besides coffee.
Like free use of comfort rooms, free pen/pencil&eraser, papers/scratch papers, even try to put computers on some of the rooms, lets say 2 out of the six rooms.
Its just my opinion and suggestion.
Its up to you if the rooms with computers will be much higher in price compare to the ones without it.
Thanks for this topic :)

You give me idea on that. It's a nice business to try with. As you can see almost all places now are crowded, so having such place is conducive for learning. And make sure the stuff that is available is for studying alone because if not it might distract the students or the one that is studying.

I will if you could add free "WIFI" since a lot of students nowadays uses the internet to study. If you have a free WIFI then it would be perfect even if you add 5 pesos to the charge. Just don't put any power outlets so that you won't pay extra electric bills from clients charging their devices. I think charging their devices is their responsibility already.
You could also sell peanuts and other food to add more income. But be very strict with the cleanliness by imposing rules and posting them in each room. GOODLUCK

I don't think so. sorry. I think I would rather spend that on ice cream or an hour in the internet cafe. 'Cause I hate studying. There are people who are fine to study anywhere, even when it's totally noisy.
I believe there are still people who want to study hard like that... but i don't think they would be willing to pay.
