I'm not sure about revenge, but dogs and other animals do get to know people and either like or dislike them. I think some birds like McCaws (don't remember exactly) are highly protective of one person.
I think revenge is more of a human thing, but animals do seem to act out sometimes.

Hello snm7 and welcome to myLot. I do believe that all kinds of animals do take revenge. We have cat that did just this to my daughter-in-law. She didn't like the cat and the cat knew it. We kept her down stairs. The laundry room was also down stairs. My daughter-in-law threw something at her. Several days later the cat escaped to the up stairs and peed on the rug in the bathroom up there. Now she was very well litter trained and knew better but she got her revenge.
Another time the kids left some towels on the floor after their bath and another cat peed on them to let us know that that was unexceptionable.
Birds are very protective of their young and will attack if they think they are in danger. I have seen this often.

Well me being an animal lover and a vegetarian because of my love for animals I sat turn about is fair play, the things that people do to animals I think they have every right to take revenge, and in some cases I would even help them.

Well, your post is quite interesting. Within animals themselves, it is quite sure that they take revenge. Especially oxen. They fight, one day one may win but other day the oxen which lost the previous day will again start the fight..just an example.
But I am not really sure about animals taking revenge on human. May be true. Even there are cases where people being bitten by dogs because the dog was beaten by that person.. may be revenge or may be coincidence. We can't say as animals don't speak..
Any how this is an interesting discussion.

I could be wrong but I do not think animals take vengeance on people who hurt them. Animals striking back at the moment that they are being hurt, provoked, felt endangered or threatened is, I think, their way/instinct of protecting themselves in order to survive.

I am not sure, we live in a world of many possibilities, I work in a Vetshop and many people say that especially dogs will leave statement poops say on the bed or couches for not walking them, or taking them to the park. It could be true, but isnt really proved yet.
