For those who are making money online or who plan to, what goals have you set yourself in that area for this year?
Me? I've set myself a target of making at least $500 a month online. If I focus and work hard, I believe I can do it. I achieved that some years ago (for a month or two), so I know I'm capable. It's time for me to push the boat out and do it again, but more consistently this time.
What about you? What are your online goals for 2012 on the money front?

I wanted to write more and make more monthly but I haven't gotten with it yet. Sort of disappointed in myself but in the Winter I get SAD and it makes me lethargic and tired. Plus I think I have a Vitamin D3 diffency. Spring will be better and I sure look forward to it.

Hi celticeagle,
Sorry winters are a downer for you. Have you considered using a SAD light box?

Well I graduate from University this year, and that means that for the first time in my entire life I'm going to be financially independent of anybody else, and won't be getting any financial help for being in education. I would like to be able to make $1,000 dollars per month, but I do understand that I have a fairly long way to go before I'm going to be able to earn anywhere near that amount of money. I write articles, and only earn $50 a month at the moment from those, so it's going to have to be something that I gradually work on. I have enough savings to see me through for at least a year though so I can have at least that long to work very hard and work something out for myself.

Hi GemmaR,
I think it's absolutely great that you have money saved up for a year. That'll take the pressure off.
How are you earning your money writing articles? Where are you looking for writing gigs?
Take care...

...by how, I mean, where or who are you writing your articles for? I'm asking so I can suggest other possible places.

I will try to create myself a website, write a couple short stories and enter them into several writing contests, and figure out better ways to earn more online, these are just a few of my goals for 2012.
It will take a lot of effort on your part to earn $500 a month. Mylotters here are always asking how to earn $100 or more online each month.

Hi sirnose,
The site you plan on setting up, will it be to showcase your writing?
Good luck entering the contests! Hope some come through for you
How are you earning online at the mo'? As you mentioned 'better ways', how do you feel it hasn't worked for you as well as it could?
My $500/mth goal: I know it'll take lots on my part, but I've had a taste of it before, so I believe it's possible. For this month, I'm at about $75, so $425 to go!

Article writing - do you write per article or for a rev-share site?
What improved computer skills do you feel will help you earn better?

Wow I wish I could make that much each month online. You need to share your tips, or sites.
I don't make any where near that a month. Nothing to get excited about. If I made that much a month oh how that would help us out so very much.
Good luck.

Wow that is alot to make in a month. I saw what you made in 2011, that would be wonderful.
I think the most I might have made one time was 40 something. I have never reached a large amount. I guess I just am not on the computer as much as I should be. Or I am totally missing something on these sites.
Do you do offers? I tried that. I have done some. But, not enough to get paid alot. Someone said you can do the offers without having to pay anything, I have only found this to be true with a few. A friend tried to explain to me how to do them free, but through and email I just did not get it.
I wish I could at least make $100 a month, that would be so helpful.

Hi MaryLynn,
Well I'm not making as much as $500/month yet, but I plan to! If I've done it in the past a couple of times, then I can do it again.
The bulk of the money I earn online is via writing for clients, mostly blogging, but more recently blog commenting and forum posting too. I find a lot of them on a forum called Digital Point - http://forums.digitalpoint.com - under the Services/Content Creation section. Maybe you've heard of the forum.
The rest of the money I earn is through surveys and GPTs - not a lot.
What offers are you referring to? And why would you need to pay?
I think you could earn $100 a month. You've got to believe it too.
Take a look through my blog. You might see something there you could do. There are also links to other make-money-online blogs on the side of my blog. You might find those useful too.
Take care...

thank you for the information. I have not heard of the forum you mentioned, but have book marked.
With the offers they always want you to participate in the gold, platinum and silver. You have to participate so many times, I have never understood this and can never advance past this to complete and offer.
These are all kinds of offers from gift cards, restaurants, etc.
Someone tried to explain it to me, but I just never got it as we communicated through emails.
Thank you for your help, I will read over your blog.

Hi browneyed
I love to count my chickens before they are hatched and I have done up a table to do just that - Count future money! [
I have collected about $340 in 2011. But my aim, like you is to collect monthly income. My goal is $800 this year. According to my table I am short by $600 but the year is still 'young' and I am very optimistic.

Hi, momof3kids,
I've started doing that too! I have a spreadsheet where I've mapped out how much I need to earn per day/week to earn $500 a month, and the diff ways I plan on doing that. It's made me realise the work I need to do to get there and the things I could do to make the climb easier.
Are you aiming to make $800 a month or $800 for 2012 (avg: $67 a month)? Either way, it sounds like you're off to a good start having made $200 already :-)

I am aiming for $800 by the end of the year, but hoping for $800 per month. That will take a few years though.

My goals for this year is to make lots of post in my blog and make it nice. I also want to earn something online. I also want to learn lots about computer skills like photo editing and many great stuff. I want to get good grades with this semester. I want to know more about the technology. I want to create something new. I know that's a lot but I still want to do it and see myself up to the edge.

Hi rusale,
A lot of goals, but achievable if you plan, focus and take action.
Maybe you could write your goals down and stick them somewhere you can see them everyday.

My goal is to just make as much as I can each month. I find that if I set a goal and I don't met it, I get upset with myself. So when I just let myself earn as much as I can I earn a little bit more. I work hard and believe I can do what I set my mind to I end up doing it.

I have had a few months of earning over 500 dollars but it is mainly from writing articles and it takes lots of time and effort. I am happy to make at least 200 per month during 2012. Last year I averaged about 300 per month and was happy with that too. Good luck to us all!

Hi there, TrvlArrngr, :-)
When I made over $500/mth couple years ago, it was the writing I did that was mostly responsible for that. Like you, it took a lot of time and energy.
I still write but nowhere near as much as I used to. I'm thinking of looking for more writing work though, but it has to allow for a happy medium between effort and actually having a life!
I hope you make the amount you desire every month this year, with a couple of money surprises too! (you never know)
Good luck

That's an acheivable goal if you work at it regularly it can be reached. I want to gain a Level 2 Coaching Certificate in Football, I have level 1 and hope to start level 2 next month.

Well, I would love to earn 500 dollars a month online, but my goal for this year is to try and make 100 dollars a month. This would be a nice increase over last year and I will have a better chance to achieve it. Of course, I always try to make a little more each month than in the month before, so if I hit my goal I would still try to increase it. I wish you luck in reaching your goal this year.

Best of luck with the surveys. Which survey sites have you been using?
I think £100 a month is doable. If you don't mind writing, then that might be an option for you.
Take care...

Personally I do have Goals of being to at least $500 a month online from everything I am doing online by the end of July, and $700-1000 by the end of the yr. This I feel is quite achievable if I continue to work at it. This does not could my offline earnings besides working for someone else. This is from my Business that I do offline as I have time. I feel the best way to achieve this is stay focused, do not get discouraged, and do all I can to get there.

I am looking for ways to make extra money online. I am hoping to learn how to make jewelry so I can sell some of my items online. I am also working hard on here to make payout each month. I also belong to a couple of other sites where I can make extra money. I want to make enough money so I can help my husband who cannot work right now due to a foot injury. I wish you the best of luck.

Hello browneyed,
As i have a regular offline job so i have not fixed any target for online earnings. On MYLOT for me whatever i earn from online sites is like a bonus.I have not joined many sites to boost my earnings i mostly use MYLOT for fun and do earn for it.I have earned $54 since 8 months when i joined MYLOT though its not a big amount but then its great feeling for me that i have earned something besides my offline job.

Hey, sjv1976,
$54 in 8 months on myLot is quite good - that's one cashout every other month or so.
Are there any other ways you're making money online or that you're thinking of exploring this year?
