I Get So Frustrated

I've tried many many times to work on surveys in an attempt to earn a few dollars or points. I can never get beyond either my age or location and suddenly I don't qualify for the survey. If sites don't want retirees then maybe it should be simply stated at the beginning of a survey. I'm retired not stupid...lol What are your thoughts?

I stopped doing surveys because I would answer 15 or 20 questions and THEN it would tell me I don't qualify. That was a huge waste of my time! Either let me take it or not, don't let me take most of it THEN tell me I can't take it.

My thoughts exactly. Reject me right away and forget it but don't let me muddle through all the questions and then tell me it's time to go! Thanks for responding.

even i had a bad experience in working on surveys to earn a few dollars. it's really very irritating when they do not qualify you for it. these are timetaking and if you would get money after spending hours on it, its really terrible.

I don't mind trying but would prefer to be rejected right away before spending time on any survey. It really irritates me after spending 10-15 min. and getting no where. Thanks for responding.

Yeah, damn it.....I really do some survey, they asked about status of work or something like that, then suddenly just thank you page appeared. I just got 5 point. Very hard to get pay out, almost 8 month I joined those site but never get decent survey and points.

I would do them on a regular basis if the site gave me the chance. Would be a nice income. Thanks for responding.

I agree with you. I have tried many different survey sites and they always tell me that I am not qualified for any of the surveys they have available. This always happens after I spend 10 or 15 minutes answering questions. I am not retired, but apparently my opinion is of no interest to them either. I have given up even trying these days. It sure would be nice if they just said right up front what they were looking for.

Exactly. Maybe the sites should offer an incentive point system or a few pennies for people who try to do the survey but don't qualify. Thanks for responding.

I agree that if sites have limits to age or location or anything else, it should be stated beforehand. Or the one who has almost finished the survey but not qualified will feel fooled and be very angry. I encountered another case. The site told me if i finished a questionnaire, i would get a present it bestow. But when i finished one, they told me i must finished another if i want the present, then the trick played again and again. I could not stand the fraud, and I quit. In the situation, I am a hooked fish. I hate these kind of sites. And i am sorry for you. Easy! Take care next time!

I understand. It's like the snowball effect. You do the questionnaires, that company probably uses them for their own purpose and then they reject your present. Doesn't seem fair. Thanks for responding.

I think so too. I think they should not send the survey if we are not going to be able to take them and be paid for them. We have to fill out profile questions when joining so they already know our background. That being known and said, then they should not send them if we still are not going to be qualified.

I just couldn't resist...lol If my profile page shows my age, the survey site should already know my age and not to include me in their survey. I'd like to email one of them and explain that I am fully functionable and not senile!! Thanks for responding, steph.

I have found that too! LOL....I think it's not because we're old..or stupid...but probably alot of the ones that cut me off are because it deals with new fangled products they think I can't understand or wouldn't own...they should do it by age if thats what they want!

Am not so sure about the old or stupid..lol Makes me wonder. There is a local company in our area that emails a specific age group targeted to do a particular survey. Usually the age limit is 65 so people who want to participate and are that age or above know to back out right there on the spot. This happens before 50 questions are asked, etc. Thanks for responding.

Maybe there are just too many elderly people who responded to the survey before you. I'm 53, but I seem to get knocked out of surveys a lot, too. They have so many ways to disqualify, female, income, etc. It gets to be nuts!

yeah, it is not really clear when it comes to eligibility. for some people outside the US, some sites do not accept them. but it is not explicitly says that they are not qualified. so in the end, some people invested some time and effort in the hope of earning some extra bucks, but to no avail.

Exactly. I live in the US in the midwest. Maybe not an ideal location for what the survey site is looking for in order to qualify. I think being labeled as a "retiree" is wrong and doesn't mean I fit totally into the fossil category! Know what I mean? Thanks for responding.

I have found many sites to be like that. The ones that really urk me are the ones that you have worked on the survey for a few minutes and all of a sudden you now don't qualify. Or you go thru a screening survey, then finally get to the real survey to be dumped. I just stick with the companies I know have paid me and I have good luck with qualifying.

It's very discouraging to get to that point and then see a message saying I don't qualify. I have gone as far as 15 min. or more into the screening process before this happens. Thanks for responding.

That's really true, my friend. Joining the so called survey site is not good because there are many things to filled in and sometimes we are not qualify and we get nothing into it...

I think survey site is not good enough to join with because if you reside outside the US or canada. You only wasting your time and I doubt if you find any good survey site which is available only in the US and canada

It is really frustrating. I have also tried doing some surveys but I have never been successful. I have doubts whenever I register in survey sites. That is why I will just stick on my usual earning sites which really pays though small but enough.

If you're doing OTX, don't bother. I like SurveSpot, MySurvey, and I used to like Opinion Outpost, but they've changed and I'm not too fond of them anymore.

hi carolbee oh I know exactly what you mean. I have been there and done that too. Its so frustrating to work on a survey only to be told sorry you do not qualifu.I found one survey that really does not disqualify you for being elderly. that is mysurvey.com. I have done surveys for them for five years and never been disqualified at all. for every 11000 points, which add up quickly, you cash out for ten dollars or chose merchandise.I have made at least ten dollars every month and sometimes 20 dollars a month so I can add that to my mylot earnings and it helps pay my cable internet bill.
