I've recently watched this movied which is being re shown the world over in 3D. Boy was I in for the surprise. At the very start of the movie, I suddenly felt very nostalgic and started to cry. I could not believe it had been, what, 15 years since it was first shown? I remember that I was young then and I saw the movie with my dad, mom and my younger brother (our youngest was really, really young then so we didn't take him to the movies with us). I remember then when I first saw it that I almost cried that time that Simba's father died. And, though I don't recall most of what I've seen, I started remembering as each scene unfolded. So I am glad that I saw the movie just once. Because as I watched it for the second time, I knew what the movie was, but could not remember all the details.
Also, I like the song - Circle of Life and it's another reason why I shed some tears. When we watched it for the first time, my parents were younger and had all of the responsibilities in the family. Now, they are older and I and my younger brother have left home and are being responsible on our own. How time flies swiftly. And, in later years, I know that I will be looking at the twilight of my parents' lives as I see the dawn of my future children's. The circle of life.
I'm so glad I saw the movie again. Who has seen the Lion King in 3D? Are they movies that have made you feel nostalgic?

I was ecstatic when I saw the poster of this movie because I missed the chance to watch it 15 years ago even if I so wanted to . It was a good movie. Brought back memories of where I was 15 years ago when it was shown first . And I can't help but be thankful because now, I was able to watch it with a big bonus-in 3D. Circle of life indeed!

Well, I enjoy 3D movies, so I'm not complaining. But, yes, I guess I will still watch it even if it's not in 3D. Am I glad I watched it just once. Since I was a lot younger then, there were things I did not understand. Now, I do.

I have heard about this news from my friend- they have been showing quite a lot of old classic films in 3d now. First Titanic, now Lion King, Beauty and the beast, Star wars I.. I bet most people who'd watch it are older ones who saw the first version...It's nice to look back on these movies again...

Yes, it's definitely nostalgic to be watching these films in the big screen again. You're right the ones who will watch will be the ones who'll watch again. I missed the rerun of Titanic.

I miss to watch the 3D.... They just screened it for a few days only and I can't find some time to watch it even if I really want to do so~It must be great huh?? I read somewhere that they are going to reproduce every old movies of Disney's cartoon and have it in 3D....

Really?! Wow, I would have to spend on these things... especially those I haven't seen in a while. Good way to remember my own childhood! The movies that I regret not seeing in 3D are Toy Story 1 and 2!
