This morning i was so happy because me and Grandma will go to church. It is a small fiesta in our community and the priest will be there for a mass.We got in the church a minute before mass starts but the church is already filled with people in and outside so we have no choice but to stay outside.
But grandmother wants to go inside to celebrate the mass fully so we walk more to go inside the church saying our excuse, but because its full of people we just stand in beside the doorway.A girl organizer gave us a chair so that grandma can sit.
But when the offering is about to come we were ask by a guy to move down and go out of the church so that "officials/Mayor,chairman and etc" can go inside . I told him we will just move further to the corner because grandma wants to celebrate the mass inside and she is so weak to go down and be expose to the sunlight during the mass. But he insist.
Good thing one of the former town councilor heard us and ask the guy to let us stay beside the doorway .
To me,i think the guy only wants to be notice by the town officials but by doing so he is forgetting his manner. My grandma is so old to go up and down the steps and this guy seems to not care about that.
I don't know where all the gentleman goes that they seem to be missing these days

I would have loved to let granny stand for awhile and use her chair as a weapon to hit the idiot. Where is his common sense? Senior citizens are just as important as city officials, more important even. Those people need to treat officials like normal people, maybe then they would learn to suffer and be humble. maybe then they will realize what a hellhole the world has become and that they have to move their butts fast to fix the many problems the community is experiencing.

Hi!
I think the guy who asked you to move out did not have courtesy/respect for older people and he should have thought twice before asking you people to go out.
Some people are so engrossed in their own mission that they forget to show respect to elders. But I would say majority of the guys show respect to elders or at least speak politely with them.

Those who do not show the basic courtesy should be pointed out so that they could learn some manners.

Hi Tamirs
So that is one another way to grab attention Never knew that too could be done
The guy seems to be in a hunt of some lady love and maybe that is why he was in so hurry and that got him do things the wrong way...
I have no clue why some people do such things - maybe I should try for once and try to find out

Hi sis!
We might say that guy just doing his work so that the Mayor can go inside without crowd in front of the door or being told to clear the front place. But he should at least help grandma by finding other seat for both of you instead asking you and grandma to get out of the church. He should at least pay concern to grandma~Don't get mad and forgive his mistake~(^^)

I presume he is a government employee. Hence a formal complaint about how he deals with people can be submitted to his superior.
Sometimes, even if there is a policy, we have to assess the situation and the person involved. A chair for your grandmother is immaterial for it not to be considered.

hi tamirs oh my that was really mean and officious of that
guy to ask your elderly grandmother to go out in the hot
sun and not be able to hear th mass. I am so glad that
other official made him let your grandmother stay put.
Yes I think you are right, that man wanted to impress
the town officials but he sure went about it the wrong
way.Yes a lot of gentlemen now days are missing.

hello tamirs,
I guess so.
The guy only wants to impress the politicians.
So what is politician/s are coming their way?
They are not gods, and even God will never want you and your granny to move from where you are.
Duh! the problem with people who lost their good morals.

You are so right, lately people not only men understand what it is to have manners and show people some type of compassion. Those type of manners lately don't seem to exist anymore. I remember when I was younger and I went on the bus with my grandmother, guys would offer their sits to us so we can sit down, now a days it's very rare to find that at all. It said, but true.

Maybe they are already an endangered species.
I cannot hazard as guess on what the culprit is but I'm putting the money on losing values and inconsideration for others. I mean, we all have our selfish tendencies but sometimes, maybe we do go overboard.
I kinda understand why the guy did that to you and your grandmother but come on, pushing two ladies just to kiss some political bottom/ that's real one downer. If he or the party are public servants (if they embody the term in every sense of the word), they should have at least be considerate of others, especially the public they are serving. if not, it shows that the only thing that matters today is not service, but power and money.
