for me safety is the most significant thing in the traveling. i have to travel frequently, because my hometown is far away from my working place, if i go home by train or by bus, it will take me more than one day(24 hours). the time is too long and the traveling process is boring and tied, so this time i want to try the plane, the plane is much fast and only need two and a half hours.
people said Plane is much fast but much dengerous compared to the train. is it the plane safer than the train or bus? i want to go home fast and safty, which transportation shall i choose?

Well fastest mode of transport would be plane for sure, but if something happens with its engines or system , you die , i mean there is very less chances of survival if a plane crashes
Train comes in between the bus , you can hope that the rails are not messed up
Bus depends on the routes where you need to pass by to get home
Accidents can happen anytime , pray ;)

Hi Bobo Mama: I know, when a plain accident happen, people rarely survive but same can happen on a car or train accident if the collision was really big. At the same time, with more cars there are more possibilities of having an accident.

Depends on where you are. The safety of any mode of transport depends on the standards of maintenence and of general safety standards. For example, in the Far East there have been several incidents of ferry accidents due to poor safety standards resulting in overloading and capsize of the boats.
Air travel in most of the Western world is pretty safe due to the rigorous standards of maintenance and general safety that are imposed. It may not be so where you live.

Agreed, transportation safety largely depends on where you live and how well the government regulates transportation. Also, small planes crash much more often than larger planes.

Statistics tell it all. In my opinion, however, the plane is the safest way to travel. If one crashes, yes, there are two hundred or so passengers that may not survive but the number of accidents on our roads each year probably kills a thousand. Trains are not safe. Though I enjoy train travel, they are having more and more problems as the tracks are getting way too old. Freight carrying trains are crashing more often but we are not hearing about it because then less people would take the passenger trains. Train travel is also very expensive. Would I take the risk? Probably if I was wanting to sight-see. Back to air travel.....quick, and some awesome deals if you know when and where to look.

I think that it depends on the state of maintenance of any mode of transportation!
But I am also a firm believer in fate.If your number is up,that is it,no matter how you decide to travel. So if I was you,I would take the fastest way home,so I could spend more time with the family and friends, and less on the road!

Hello jakeyangchao,
Of course travelling by AIR suits you if the distance is the criteria.
Accidents happen once in million whether you travell by train/road/plane.You must choose travelling by AIR if your pocket allows you.

I think plane is better than travel by bus or train. This is why plane is much fast than others even every vehicle have its own risk.

any time anything can go wrong. safe or unsafe depends on times. if time is good you can't hurt if your plan crushed. if time is not in your favour anything may happen when you are sleeping. believe in God, who can only save you. leave everything on him. you should not bothered. only you should always follow right path.

Some airlines have an excellent safety record. A few airlines have a poor safety record and this is worrying. Sometimes in the news there is a story about an air crash. If a plane does crash all people on board are likely to die.
If there is a train crash many people tend to stay alive but some people might die. In a bus or a coach passengers should have a seat belt on for their own safety. In the 1970s my aunt and uncle were on a coach trip in Austria. The coach crashed and they saw some people on board die. They managed to stay alive but it was a horrible memory.
I traveled on a coach in South Africa. They said a prayer to ask for a safe journey. South Africa has many road accidents. I am happy to say it was a safe trip over to the Garden Route.
I would prefer a twenty four hour train ride than a two and a half hour plane ride. You could check the airline's safety record on-line if you feel concerned. Good luck with your trip.

Well, I think the plane is much safer. If I am not mistaken, there are more accidents involving buses as compared to planes. The only downside is that when the plane crashes, it would be very catastrophic, mostly there will be no survivors. That is why, we often think that riding planes are dangerous.

Hi jakey yang chao: I understand that you feel afraid of flying. So many people has this fear when they have to experiment this at once but you should know that according to the statistics, planes are safer than travelling by car or by train. Accidents happen, no matter where you go but if you check the numbers you will find that people who die when travelling by plane are fewer.

good day jakeyangchao,
with reference to your main topic, well, those you have mentioned are all safe. either you will travel by plane, train, bus or even by shift, these way of transportation are all safe. hence, it is only became unsafe if there are some situation is happening during the travel period. as a result, there are safety measures are being posted and aired to prevent accidents to happen. aside from that, with these safety measures, passengers are given an advice as to what are the best things to do during their travel.
hence, travel advisories are needed to be consider when making a travel to avoid and prevent accidents to occur. however, the bottomline here is prayer. in everything we do, we should acknowledge God as our guide and savior. for He knows the best way for us.
cheers.

Hi
I have heard and read in statistics that most accidents happen on the road and planes are the safest to travel after trains. I think that you should try out the plane. It is faster and you will find it really convenient. You will save much time and you will feel much less tired from your trip. You should not afraid planes because it rarely happens an accident. On the contrary we hear everyday accidents on roads which most of these have deadly impacts.

I can never really tell which is safer. Accident happens when you least expect it. I'm not scaring you, it is just really hard to tell. Just be vigilant on riding anything be it a bus, a plane or a train. Also look for a carrier that has a good reputation and least accidents involved. Try to travel in the morning if you are going to ride a plane, and also the weather should be okay for a safer flight. Just pray and God will keep you safe :)

It may sound like unbelieveable, but it is true that the plane will be safer than train and bus. However, once there is an accident for the plane, usually there are no more survivors.
I love China

It depends on a lot of factors like from which country you are travelling from, the different available modes of transport etc...I think going by plane is much more safer and faster...
The risk of getting involved in a plane accident is less than that of train or bus...
You might read about a lot of bus accidents and train accidents but how many plane accidents have you heard of???Pretty less right???
But taking the money factor into consideration, train seems to suit me...
