I know linux OS is having a fast growing nowadays. I know it is a type of OS. It is more secure than other windows, macos etc. It can be altered to any format we want to use. What are linux OS available today? How is it become more popular among peoples? I need to know something about linux and its OS.

I also heard this Linux OS ever since before year 1999, but what is the difference between a LINUX OS and a UNIX PC??? is UNIX PC an Operating System too?

There are several Linux distros. I like Zorin, Mint, and Puppy Linux. All of them can be run right off the disk in Live CD after you download them and put it on dvd or you can dual boot it with Windows or Mac . Most interesting Puppy Linux is very small I believe it is around 128 MB and once loaded it will run from ram memory. In fact you can load it on an sd card and boot from it, or just run it from a cd. I really would like to see more people using Linux. From what I understand there are about 30 million users now. I don't know that it will ever overtake Windows but slowly I'm sure more and more people will turn to it.

This still not trying to used and I want to experience this one. But I still more comfortable using windows...
