Yes, indeed, I have been to Singapore many times, on my business trips. Very impressive, and one of the most desciplined cities in the Southeast Asia region. The people observe the rules and regulations very well. The Orchard Road downtown business core is an attraction too.

Aww *blush blush* you are too kind..
I am a Singapore citizen and being here, at mylot, do make me more appreciative of my homeland. I think its tiny weeny so its easy to govern. I feel quite happy here actually but we do get pissed sometimes.
Thank you *kiss kiss*

I haven't been to Singapore or outside of the Philippines yet. Though i am well informed about those countries because i always read magazines and reviews of places to visit. I also would sometimes surf the net to go to a country and get to know things about them.
Hence, in one of my readings, it was said that it's indeed a very clean city. Spitting is prohibited. The government has strict enforcement of its law and order, hence the people are disciplined.
I guess, the Singaporean government are not into corruption, that's why it's prosperous.

Singapore is known best for its cleaness and neatness. I haven't went to singapore but fiend of mine is there who used to tell about it. The one advantage the singapore got is its smallest country and also having less in population too, hence its manageable and keep it clean.
Any way its hats off to all singapore citizens and their government to earn such a reputation. Hope whole world get a lesson from them.

No, I've never been to Singapore, but I'd like to. In fact, I've never travelled beyond my own continent of Europe. One day, I'd like to change that, and I'll remember what you said about Singapore. It would be fascinating for me to see it. I'm a Londoner myself, born and bred, although I actually reside in the suburbs, about a dozen miles from the city centre. I've not visited London since 2009, although there is an urban centre very near me that is considered part of London. It's very modern, clean, busy, with everythign you could possibly want, from night clubs to sidewalk cafes. But by London I mean the centre. Last time I was there it seemed pretty clean to me. Certainly London has changed in the last few decades. A lot of renovation. Some decades ago, there was a famous mainline station in London...it had a barber, drinking places; now...it's quite chic...with a cafe; eating places; even a place where you can buy clothes. Very different. I think London's pretty clean, I'd say.

I have visited Singapore three times in my life so far. I found it to be very clean, well organized and to have many different fines for wrong doing. There was a $10,000 fine for feeding a monkey for example. The people seem really well behaved and the buildings are all kept in good condition. The traffic rules seem strict. I have been to Malaysia, Sumatra, Hong Kong and the Maldives. I saw rubbish covering one of Hong Kong's outer laying islands. Singapore's man made beach is clean and tidy by comparison. I like Singapore and think it is one of the best cities in Asia.
