I sleep like 8-10 hours on 'normal' school days/weekends and like 7-8 during days in which i have exams
and funny thing i've found out is : i feel so tired at school on the 'normal' days and sometimes get head aches and stuff and i feel better when I sleep less
Is sleeping too much time also a problem?

sleeping too much will cause your muscles to relax for a long time.
as a result , when you wake up you will feel tired.
i said it because i have personal experience.
i slept for more than 12 hours after my sem exams.
sleeping for 7-8 hours is suggested by doctors.

An excess of any thing isn't good, I guess. I also experience the same thing. I typically sleep 6-8 hours, but when I sleep longer, I tend to feel tired and groggy. Like disruptive sleep, oversleeping has negative effects.

Yes,you would surely feel tired. Some people say since the sleep chemicals are released into your brain, excess of chemicals released during increased sleep hours will trigger more sleep.I do not know about its research papers authentication, but in general almost all of us experience this problem.I used to sleep for 15 hours in the night and still find it sleepy next morning and sleep another 8 hours the next day.Above all,the quality of sleep matters.Sound sleep for even 5 hours is enough instead of crappy sleep for 10 hours.Happy mylotting.

Activities which is too much not good for our healthy including sleeping, eating and drinking or whatever activities you were doing in an excessive amount always do not give goodness to our body. I seldom sleep more than ten hours, I always try to reduce my sleeping time to avoid the feeling of laziness and tiredness. I am a person who have difficulties in sleeping and it's easy to get up too.

if i sleep for mother than 7 hrs, my mother is gonna scream at me..lol..I used to
sleep like 8 or 9 hrs 2 years back...Then around that time, dark circles formed below my eyes and i felt tired all the time...
My dad says that sleeping too much is my problem...Even while in class,i used to take short naps after the lunch break lol...Its kinda my habitual action...i realized it later that what my mother has been telling me was true all the time...
so i cut short on all those sleep and i feel much more active during the day...i think the same should work for you...

I feel that too. On holidays i tend to oversleep and because of this i feel so tired that i am unable to finish my assignments. But sleeping is not very good for our health either, we tend to become more anxious and our thought process takes a hit. So i suggest you sleep an optimum amount, which will be 6 to 8 hours.

I also sleep more or less than 8 hours per night, in the morning, however, I feel a bit tired and used to recover about 1 hour.
Since I'm unemployed, so rarely have time to be respected, I can take the day with convenient.
Hardly, luckily I suffer from headaches.
I still have to add that every day after lunch as I used to lie down on the bed for at least 1 hour or 1 hour and a half.

An common adult can sleep 6-7 hours a day and it would be okay. 8 is tolerable but beyond that, that is oversleeping. I sometimes do it over the weekend, when I got no work. I sleep for 12 hours I think, then I sleep again in the afternoon. Gives me the headache too..
