can pregnant women drink tea?

I just heard from others that pregnant women shall not drink strong tea or coffee, or they should not drink tea or coffee at all because that's bad to the fetus, is that true? is there any scientific basis for this saying? i would like to know if any of you here who had babies have drunk tea or coffee during pregnancy.

why not, tea is not hurting women of the babies all my friends drink too much tea and not probelem with babies and preganany or any , i hear coffee is not good though my friedn all drink it with no problem in preganany and delivary and babies also fine

hello. i have never been pregnant but my friends say that doctors nowadays say not to drink coffee or anything with caffeine. However, some of my friends who don't depend on doctors drink coffee and tea. and they didn't have problems with their children.
