@savak03, lol! yea white lie! A little white lie is always useful to prevent something worse happen! lol! Like on the fat wife case, she would be really angry or hurt, if we telling her the truth! hehe...

Most of the time I tell it as how I see it. White lies are an art, but then, the do I look fat in those jeans...... is a no brainer lol. Us males know better than to fall for that ones these days.
But do not learn enough 
Haircuts is another important one, I thought I was being honest when I said I like your hair when it is long on the day she got it cut short 
Lesson learned!

As far as I know the greatest invention in human history is Power or more commonly called Electricity. Its the basis for all other inventions that we are seeing right now in today's world.

I agree with Madu , without power we can't reach this computer and gadget age. All inventions depended in the power supply. Think of an invention which did not use power for its making and for its functioning . So we must be very grateful to the inventor of electricity.

Yea, sure someone long and long time ago in prehistoric era, invented it, and Iam sure it would be because of natural causes, like lightning struck the tree and the tree got burn, or something like that!

Well this is a tricky question, since a lot of the things i would say are the greatest inventions actually require other things in order to work.
i.e. electricity needs a generator, the generator needs a steam turbine, the steam engine needs fire :)
So i would probably say the fire or the wheel considering they are the basis to everything else mankind has done ever since..
Anyway without all this historical thinking, i would say the steam engine, it finally made people capablo of being free of hard manual labour.

Hello, moneylots87. I think that the greatest invention was the sock/shoe combo. I am so greatful for socks/shoes. I am sure that if it wasn't for socks/shoes, we would have more sore feet. Thank you sock/shoe inventor. :) :)

Hi,
It is very difficult to mention the greatest invention because every invention has important role in our life. But I think Electricity is the great invention. Now a days we all are machine dependent and almost all machines need electricity. Our computer is also dependent on electricity and we are now computer addicted.
