Do ionic necklaces actually work?

I saw these ionic necklaces that claim that they can help your athletic ability, make you run faster, be stronger, etc. I was wondering if any of this is actually true. I don't believe that these things actually do anything but I'm interested to know if any of you had experiences with these things.

I also don't think it is working, because those things based on the placebo effect. You know what placebo is? If you think the pill is working against headache it is working, but when you think it won't work, it doesn't work. Simple as that - Placebo effect.
