Why ask for help and not take it?

Personally, I am an online fitness coach and I have programs like P90x, Insanity, Turbofire, etc. I have people approach me about wanting to get in shape and its the new year and want to be healthy. I recommend them a program and they get all excited and then some always end up quitting. My question is why ask for help if you are not willing to help yourself? Whats the point of asking someone else for advice and not take any of it?

I think that maybe these people think it sounds exciting and go for it, but then realize that they cannot handle it. It wasn't what they expected. I agree with you, but people are creatures of habit. And some habits are hard to break.

I think that for most people, the issue of health easily gets in the back burner when they get burdened with the everyday life. I think that's why people ask for help, and then when they realize that the process of getting healthy is actually difficult, they give up. I'm guilty of this as well.

People are asking for advice becasue they want it, but when they hear the advice they dont get happy because maybe what they need to get healthy is something expensive and it turns them down because alot of people cant arrod the high charges of getting into fit. Going to a gym isnt cheap and getting on protein meals and what not isnt cheap either and all the programs offered out there arent cheap either and i think that when advice is giving and your telling them there is something out there for them they get turned down by the prices of the programs you might be offering them. You might want to try approching the wealthier people and maybe putting up some posters were they might live. Maybe in club houses or in gated communities if you can get it of course. Personally i know i can do alot of the programs on my own and also do fitness stuff from my house on just using items around the house to get in fit.

You are absolutely right. When someone asks for help they ought to follow the advise. When one asks an expert online one ought to sincerely follow that advise as it comes from someone who specializes in that field.Otherwise it is best we not waste each others time and effort.

Maybe they want fast results. Maybe they think that your recommendations doesn't fit to them and they'll just spend money ending up with nothing. They don't want just to tell you and make you upset. But don't mind them. It is their big loss not yours.
