what makes face book so important?

few years ago, i had ever said to my friends that i will never make a face book and keep my friendster.that's because i've ever made face book for twice but it failed. that's why i considered that face book is more complicated than friendster. i smiled to myself if i remember this. because right now, face book is like an addict for me ;) every time and every where i try to update my status, check my friends' status, give comment and many things.i will spend my hours in front of my lappy just to open face book. is it worthy? even i ever quarreled with my friend only because of the comments. well, right now sometimes i ask to my self what the important thing of this site? even i'm not as addict like it was, but still i can't leave this page every time i'm online.so what makes face book so important for you?........ ^_^

its like i had quit fb aftr i came over to mylot. i dont think fb is very important . just updates and fake status messages..i hate it now...

sometimes i get bored also if i don't have something to do with my fb. so, now i want to use it to start an online business. although i feel difficult but i want to try it .... so, why don't you try something new with your fb?

hi adhyz, yeah i found something different here. this site will increase my ability in writing and expressing my ideas, i think so. so exciting to make a new friends here and mostly i can practice my English more often. i haven't understood yet about the reward but my friend will explain it to me. maybe you will... =)

in our busy lives, Facebook sometimes is the medium to get in touch with our friends, to find out what they are doing at the moment, and give us the opportunity to comment and share our thoughts. I never thought myself to be a Facebook addict, but I feel the urge to check Facebook because I wanted to know what's going on. I subscribed or followed different personalities, and they have been using social media to update their followers. It is the easy ticket of finding what's hot and what's new, as simple as that.

agree with you caryle, and now i just joined in an online business with my friend. the point is i have to control myself to use it as wise as i could :)

now, this just makes me wonder when would a person qualifies as a Facebook addict...hmmm
social media is a great tool for business. it would do great if your using to leverage that for marketing your business or products. some business owners or marketers use social networking very well. They not only inform or update their followers about their services or merchandise but they update the community with useful information too. Its a good tactic, I believe :)

I don not consider it as so important a site but I have proven that facebook has pros and cons. The pros are among other things, we can communicate with friends who are far away from us. We do not need to go to the post office just to write to them. With facebook features we can see their present situations and keep informed of how they are. Last but not the least, you can make money with facebook. I don't know I never try this.
The cons are if we are not careful we might meet people who are not genuine. Their purpose is to cheat people using facebook. There are victims who are reported to have suffered losses. So, watch out, I am also a facebooker but not too hooked on it.

yeah i heard some news about that bad effects of face book. making a date with strangers whom we know from face book but then there is a kidnapped happen. i have a little daughter and she is a teen... so i worried sometimes if she knows some strangers. you know crime is everywhere today

sometimes i get fed up of facebook because for the past 5 years i've been on it almost everyday, every time i open the laptop or computer the first site i go to is facebook..but i would not think of deleting my facebook account even if i get fed up of it or get bored sometimes when i log in..i think it is enjoyable to be there because it is the social site on the internet where it's a bit addicting to post and share things..i mean there a lot of social networking sites nowadays popping up or other social sites copying the format of facebook but still i am always enjoying doing it on facebook compare to other sites..internet would not be the same for me, if there is no facebook..

hi jadoixa...... it still happens to me hahha..the first site which i open is facebook. but now i've just checked what happen in mine. not like it wasbefore, i was very active to give comment for every kinds of status hahahha.... yeah i don't think that i would delete it also LOL

For me, Facebook is very important to communicate with other people especially my friends, family and relatives. It makes the communication easier because you can chat to them right away. You get informed on what they are doing. I am not a Facebook addict but I do always check my profile every time I am in front of computer. Happy mylotting!

I think Facebook is so important because it allows us to keep track of people and get into touch with people we may not have seen or heard of in a long time. After high school usually everyone breaks up and we do not have contact with them or live far. I know for me I can see pictures that my friends uploaded of their kids, birthdays, or even just weekend activities.

hi there, thank you for the comment. i also see that function in facebook. i also meet some of my old friends there.Sometimes it is also used as an invitation. that's why i can attend my friends' wedding or birthday from facebook. just, recently i got some problems when i give comment or from my friend's comment. they said something rude and i don't like it. it makes us angry each other or feel disapointed sometimes. that's why, when i don't have a certain purpose i try not too often to open it ^_^ how about you? do you ever get a bad comment?

Facebook is important for me becoz it is the only place where I can know the status of my friends and my relatives in abroad.It is easier to communicate there becoz it's free and I don't have to pay anything unlike communicating through text or call.

hey it is quit interesting anyone ask question about face-book that why it is so important.because face-book is like a smoking every smoker wants to leave it but all of them fails on this task,face-book is real platform to interact with people who knows or not.like you i also spend and will be spend my most of free time with face-book.ya its worthy because we connect with people who are not in our regular touch face to face. but with it we have gain knowledge about what is haapening in the world.
even the importance of face-book is easily understand by the revolution of Egypt.because in this revolution face-book plays main role in connecting with each other

I had my face book six months ago. Before that I never believe what my friends told me how wonderful it was until someone persuaded me to have one. I felt so amazed when I started reconnect with my friends from overseas via face book. I regretted that I should have it much earlier. I missed out so many funs. Looking at the picture of their families and old pictures of ours really bring tears of joy. I missed them so much!
