How many of you watched the National Championship game last night between Alabama and LSU, and if so what were your thoughts on how it went? I was very impressed with how Alabama's defense completely shutdown LSU's offense. I can't remember the last time I saw a dominating defensive performance like that in a football game.

Wow! What a game!
I've heard the sportscasters complaining about this game all day, but I don't see what there is to complain about. Roll Tide!
Some act as if LSU didn't show up, or as if the game was somehow less than great. But they're missing the forest for the trees here.
LSU beat 8 ranked teams, including Alabama in Tuscaloosa. They completely demolished Georgia in the second half of the SEC Championship. They put up points like Oklahoma State on every team in the nation except for Alabama. LSU is a high-powered, skilled, fast, explosive offensive, and their defense is 2nd best in the nation, behind Alabama.
What else did people want for a game?
And the fact that Alabama so decidedly dominated the game just proves that the Crimson Tide was the superior team!
During their first game, Alabama won in every category except the one that matters: the scoreboard. But even if Alabama had won and both teams won out, we would have had the exact same BCS title game, only with 'Bama 1 and LSU 2. So this is what we were going to get. OK ST wants in? Beat Iowa State!
I too was really impressed with how Alabama ran roughshod over the best (ranked) team in the nation. LSU decimated their competition all year. But held to under 100 yards, only crossing the 50 once, only getting a few first downs, and putting up a goose egg - it was pure dominance by Alabama in every facet of the game.
Great game. It would be like seeing the Patriots and Packers in the Super Bowl, and having Green Bay (or vice versa) hold Tom Brady and the Pats to 0 points.
It's not something you except, but it's not fair to complain just because one team was so dominant. Such is life.

Yes it was quite a game, and I agree with everything you mentioned. I take it from you post that you don't like the Pats much. I don't either, but I don't like Green Bay either as well. Thanks a lot for your detailed comment and feedback. It's much appreciated.
