I happen to see in the news papers that the bank theft and other scam sites are developed by Nigerian's and there had been many times Nigerian's has been caught for doing unclutured activities. I wounder why the people are doing so. What the people can't work and build up the money ?

I think is because they are lazy to work hard and only to build/create more scams/to get easy money from other people..
They are considered a thief, deceiving people i do not know why the president allow to do that there..

I think the government should give them the best punishment for such crimes
What do you think ?

That depends on which organization is conducting the survey/investigation about it. There are some sites that claim another country ranks top. So we wouldn't really know it. There are a lot of them that it would be hard to trace where it mostly came from.

I don't know their basis of rating countries scam-wise, but I guess one possibility that Nigeria ranks high is because of the million-dollar solicitation emails they've been sending out, of which I've heard that some people had in fact fallen for it. I agree with you that almost all countries have scammers and fraudulent people and I think this would not abate until these people are caught and punished properly. Yet rating a country would be a bit complicated since there are a lot of factors to consider one of which is the percentage of the population who do scamming activities and the gravity of the effect of these scams.

Agree with you..Wow that is a lot of many they get from just sending emails i think that country and the president should work on that to caught the fraud.
But since it is high, i think they are not doing it to punish those scams..

Lets said, from 100 scam sites that they already investigate.Nigerians on the top, with the most owner of that site.
We could know about the owner of the site through the whois.com.
When that 100 scam site have been check one by one, the result show Nigerian was on the top.
If I'm not mistake, Paypal have banned this country. If that right, they should learn from India.

I am not sure what's the method to rank that, but well, I just don't want to get trapped in stereotype. I mean, not all Nigerian are scammers. Every countries in the world have their own good and bad people, anyway.
And by the way, sometimes surveys and statistics can be misleading and biased - it may depends on who held the surveys or so. Until I know how's the method to rank that, I guess I can't 100% believe that..

Yes i think so that survey are not 100 percent true for what they are doing can be true or not so maybe just to think every country there is bad and evil but different kinds of evil deeds.

I don't really care how many scams are there in the internet or which one is the top rank. the best way to do it is to avoid it at all times.we also have scams but that's not important now the best thing is not to be fooled by it. besides, we are all doing our best to earn online and earning money isn't picking apples

I think the U.S. has the most scams of all. We just don't notice it because there are too many good companies from the U.S.. And it's size, I mean the size of the country and it's population as compared to Nigeria, the U.S. is by far has the most of all scams online.

I am not surprised that Nigeria came on top of the list as the highest ranking of country of scammers. My husband and I was almost a victim of this. My husband's jobstreet account was hacked and he received an email that he was hired to work as a safety engineer in Omni Hotel in Canada. We did not suspect that it was a scam at first because my husband placed "safety engineer" in his resume that was uploaded in jobstreet.com. We don't have any idea at first that his account on that site was hacked.
But we started to suspect that something is amiss because they emailed us and require us to produce certain amount for visa. This raised a red flag since they have set a deadline. We tried to call my brother who immigrated in Canada to check out if there are any job offerings made by Omni Hotels there.
He called us back and told us that there are no job openings and that it was a scam. We ignored their emails and they even try to call us and when I talked to them to lead them on. I told them that I don't know where to send the money. The guy told me to send it through Western Union in Nigeria. Another red flag! And the guy I was talking with speaks in broken English so I concluded that it was indeed a scam. My husband and I were happy that we did not fall victims to this kind of fraud.
We learned a lesson, that every time we received emails of job offering that are too good to be true, then 100% it is a scam. And another thing, you can also copy paste the email that was sent to you at scamomatic.com and they will be the one to evaluate if it is a scam email or not.

they decide this on the basic of black money they have in their country, and that count on global bases and this is how they generate the top and bottoms list.
