I like to save so when I need or want something, I'll have the money but that doesn't work well with kids and a hubby.

I'm more of a saver. At one time i had 5000 saved up... but that quickly dissapeared after i had kids.

I usually save about 25 to 30 percent of my net income. The savings go directly to my mutual funds. I do not spend a whole lot because I am kind of a thrifty person. Also I have a deal with my local bank to transfer accounts from my company payroll to my passbook savings so that I would be encouraged to spend less.

I'd rather save first then spend as well. But I usually do it the other way around. :(

I prefer to save since all of our money goes to bills. Hopefully once December comes, we'll be getting more money each month... I hope to start saving a little from my husband's check each month!

I save first. A friend is a spender, he likes to buy stuff whenever he wants and not wait till he has the money. This means he runs up his credit card and carries a balance.
I pointed out to him how much more he could buy if he wasn't paying hundreds of dollars every year on interest on things he'd previously bought. I don't know if it will change his habits; he has a fondless for PCs, video equipment, and other expensive electronics.
