Hi fellow Mylotters.. I am planning to take my girl to some really romantic place outside India for our first visit together later this year. I am sure many of you must have visited a lot of exotic places and hence I would require your advice..
Which according to you is the best place for a one week romantic getaway? You know how special the first visit together really is and which is the place which will make the occassion one not to forget ?

If you like palm fringed beaches then I suggest Sri Lanka would be a very lovely and romantic destination. I have not yet been there but I have seen some amazing photos taken there. I have traveled to the Seychelles and that was a very romantic vacation. I have also traveled alone to the Maldives and that had many couples having a getaway. You might like to go island hopping in Thailand or the Philippines. In one week you would be able to see two different islands. If you go to Sri Lanka you could have a day trip up to Kandy. Good luck choosing where to visit with your girl.

First Maximax8 I would say thank you for such a wonderful reply.. Srilanka is a beautiful country , but it is so similar to India that you feel as if you are just home.. SO I feel I will look at options a little far away... Thailand and Seychelles seem like really great spots to visit and I will check these out today.. Thanks again..

You are very lucky that you are India! You don't need to go far for a perfect romantic get away with your girlfriend. Maldives would be my bet. Unless your girlfriend hates the beach, then I will find you another. hahaha... But for almost all of the polls that I have seen in the net, Maldives lands on the top 10 list of the most romantic destinations in the world. Though the resorts are a bit expensive there, you still have time to save for it.

How bout the mountains, Nepal or Bhutan will be a great spot. Seychelles and Mauritius are good beach countries also. And while you are there, you might want to try a romantic safari in Kenya. hehehe...
