What else are you doing while watching TV?

If I am watching TV, I am always doing something else. I usually am either working online or I am doing some kind of housework. I try to not have the tv on much and so when it is on I am still always busy with something. I like to turn it on for background noise sometimes when I am working on something online. However, for the most part it is usually off. I will read when my husband is watching television just so that I can be in the same room as he is. I also work online using his laptop sometimes.

hello dolce_vita78, well, same as you are, i am also doing two jobs at one time. more often, i am writing down some blogs while watching television. but a while ago, i was not in the mood to write down anything although a lot of ideas are popping out to my mind. hence, i ended up just posting it to my mind. and after sometime, the ideas were all gone. as a result, i was not able to write down those topics as it was all gone. so, i am just trying to reconstructing all of it once again.

I'm usually trying to pass the time in between calls at work when I watch TV. I'm really not supposed to have it on, but when you are on a slow project in a virtual call center (meaning at home) you have to have SOMETHING to do lol! Besides, I've got a mute button I've been noticing recently that I need to change my watching patterns, because I'm seeming to see a lot of the same shows lol. But finding good programming during the day when most people are "at work" even with cable is challenging. I'm at work too! Why can't I have something good to watch?

I am usually with my laptop while watching the television. Browsing the net or else checking my else. And then on all the sites that I work on. I sometimes do household chores also. But never just sit and watch tv only. There has to be something else on my hands to do.

When I am watching tv I am normally eating dinner, clipping coupons or on the computer. I like to kind of stay active and not just do one thing. Sometimes I put the t.v. just for sound while I clean around the house.

I also used to do mylot while watching tv.Sometimes I do play psp games too while watching TV.When in the mood to write,I also do it while watching especially when it is commercial.

90% of the time when I am watching TV I am multitasking on my computer or chrocheting (which really relaxes me). I feel guilty to just watch TV and not do anything else.

Hi! When I used to watch a lot of TV, I also did a lot of things. I read my readings at school, I surf the net (during those times when my TV and computer were placed beside each other), sweep the floor, dressing up and getting ready for work, drawing (back in my drawing days), and a lot more. Now, I don't watch much TV anymore, but when I do, that's while I'm eating dinner.

You can watch TV while doing mylot? You are amazing! I can't do that my dear. I can't really concentrate on either if I'd do both so I have to choose just one between TV and computer. But I can do other things while watching TV. I am one person who values time a lot so I do multitasking as much as possible. I can't just sit doing nothing but watch. I think it is some kind of wasting time when I do that. So whenever I watch TV expect to see me either folding clothes, or ironing clothes, or sewing, or doing my manicure or whatever task possible doing while watching TV at the same time.

Usually while I watch TV I am crocheting on a granny square as I make crocket blankets have been doing this since I was 16yrs old. Sometimes I do the laundry or fold clothes. Also like you work on the computer.

I have the TV on way too much actually. It's usually on even if I'm not watching it, mostly just out of habit. Most times when I'm online (like now), I'm using my laptop while also watching TV. Sometimes though, it can be too much of a distraction and I will turn it off if I'm writing an article or something and I need to concentrate. I also hit the switch if I'm going to be doing anything outside. No sense in having it burning up electricity needlessly. I think I'm going to start making more of an effort to turn it off unless there is actually something on that I really want to watch.

Most of the time I got other things to do while watching TV. Sometimes I am reading a book or magazine, of course read it while it is the commercials or sometimes do some housework or be in front of the laptop, or simply do some assignments. Sometimes I will get some snacks while watching my favorite programs but I rarely do this as it is not healthy. If I want to have a full break I will not doing anything just watch the programs on TV.(^^)

Most of the time while watching TV then work in mylot but some time only watching TV when favourate serial is start no other work. Fully concentrate on program.

I usually don't like to do anything while watching TV because I either don't pay enough attention to what's happening on the TV show (or movie) or I don't focus on the other task I'm doing. I especially don't like to use the internet because it's basically reading and why would I want to read and watch TV at the same time? The only thing I don't mind doing while watching TV is exercise and chores. Although I find that both suffer while watching TV. It's OK though, because I don't really notice the time passing so it isn't so much of a burden to do as I'm being entertained.

It's a regular romper room around here during the day, but in the evening I watch some television with my husband. It's not long so I just watch with him (when I'm not finishing up dishes or taking the dog out!)

Yes, me too. I am often doing other things like reading a magazine or newspaper and often like to do a crossword puzzle too. I can still listen and watch what's going on in the TV program without too many problems. I have always done this. _Derek

When I'm watching television, I'm usually also online, or something like that. I'm usually watching television doing something else. Most of the time it's being online, but it's not always the case.

I just started doing that for the past year or so. I am always having shows on in the background while I do my work, unless I'm doing work that needs me to listen or focus on it as well, then I just mute the show in the background. I have plenty of shows that I watch without the computer, but I'm addicted to the internet and to try to make money online. I spend a few hours typically watching TV without making money on my internet as well, and those are usually new episodes of shows that I would never want to ruin my experience with by not having my full attention on.

Sometimes when the show I am watching can't hold 100% of my attention,I check my emails,facebook,or read the newspaper,do crossword puzzles,do my nails.Used to knit or crochet,but I get too hot with that wool on my lap!I like to multitask.But if a show grabs me,I'll watch,but still do something else during the commercials....Harder to do that when the show is recorded and we just race trough the commercials!!!I onlt open the TV when I want to watch something ,otherwise I do not need it as backround noise.

Hi5! I tend to watch TV while I Mylot too. I do a lot of things while I watch TV and sometimes I don't even watch the TV but just enjoy the sound coming from it. I sometimes eat my lunch or dinner while watching TV and sometimes I do my homework while the TV is on. I know it's a waste of electricity but I can't help it, I work better with sound in my ears. I sometimes leave the TV on and wait for my shows to pop up. While I wait, I am usually doing something else to kill the time. I know my friends has a TV right in front of her treadmill and she would exercise while watching TV.
