I don't want to get fat!

Hello mylotters! My new year's resolution was not to eat too much and try to do exercise as I am getting fat today. I want to stay lean just like before. But the foods are tempting and make me always want to eat them. They make me hungry! How do you control yourself not to eat too much? I would like to hear your opinion. Happy mylotting!

avoid fatty foods and instead of eating 3 times a day very much,try to take little snacks.sometimes when i wish to take a bite i eat some peanuts or other nuts,or i eat a carrot.also use only olive oil when you cook.of course don't give up gym no matter what.i replace sweets that you can buy with cereal biscuits made at home.it is a way to make hunger go away with low calories.

I guess I have to lower my calorie intake. It is quite hard to avoid eating fatty foods. I like pork adobo and humba. Those are some of my favorite foods. I have to sacrifice not to eat too much of them..

Set one day a week where you can enjoy what you want for all 3 meals that day. That way you have something to look forward to while keeping away and then eventually get to enjoy what ever it is that you like. 6 days of eating healthy and 1 day of eating how ever you want is not going to do harm espicially if your making an effort to stay physically active!

We have the same new year's resolution champoy . And I've had this resolution every year on my list..haha. But now, I'm drinking this coffee for slimming, and it really helps in controlling what I eat. I just eat the right amount of food. And I'm not always hungry anymore. My husband keep telling me that eating an apple helps in slimming down. So you know, if your more in the natural way then you might wanna try that.

This is my first time to include this in my list. Lol. I am not a coffee lover. I only drink coffee if I feel sleepy or if I just want to. I try to suggestion. I will just eat the right amount of food everyday. I hope I can make it. Happy mylotting!

There are many ways of getting slim and fit. You may combine between controlling your eating habit and physical exercise. Let us start with physical exercise. The most suitable exercise that helps you lose your weight is walking. Walk for at least 2 hours every day. Walking is good for your health as well. Controlling your food plays an important role in weight losss program. Make sure you know your calory intake. How much calory do you need to stay the same weight? If you know it, then you can lessen the calory intake.

It is hard to resist to eat the food especially if they look so delicious. Sometimes I can't control it. I eat a lot without feeling I am getting fat. Controlling food is quite hard but I will try my best to do it. I agree with you that walking is the most suitable exercise but I don't think I can make 2 hours a day. I have a job at 8am.

So you have to have self control and for some people that is very hard. I do eat a snack in between meals but usually just something small and sometimes i cant even eat it all. Now today i have had a bowl of cereal then i got to work and seemed hungry a couple hours later and have tried to eat a muffin but cant eat it all so i put it aside and get back to work. Now at lunch i dont usually eat a big lunch and just eat a small portion of something and then maybe chips. I bring my l unch to work instead of eating fast food of course. Between lunch and dinner i will then eat a snack again and then when i get home from work im pretty hungry and usually grap a yogurt that is sweet in taste. Then i start cooking dinner. I have one starch, a meat that is healthy and usually not red meat of course then i will have a vegetable and sometimes vegetable stew or something. This is my diet and how i eat and its a good one and you have to stick with things in life to stay healthy too and not over weight. I also try to stay busy so im not bored and just eating and that also helps you out as well.

Hmmm..Seems like you are very conscious on your figure. You are very disciplined with your diet. I agree with you, I should stick on eating healthy foods. I will try to avoid eating fast foods like burger and french fries. I have to minimize drinking coke too. Thanks for sharing your diet habit and tips!

I guess I am not supposed to come in this discussion. Coz like you it is really hard for me to control eating, especially if I am seeing yummy foods. Outside I can control my eating maybe because I am wearing pants and it will be uncomfortable if my pants are too fit. But at home since I normally wear lose clothes. I eat so much. And like you I am getting fat and wanted to trim down my weight too specially my stomach. But I think if you drink more water before eating, you will not feel like eating so much food.

It is really hard to resist not to eat the foods especially if they are in front of you. I really don't care before if I eat a lot. But now, I realized that I am getting fat and have to rid the fats especially in my belly. I will try to suggestion. I hope that I may be able to maintain doing that. Thanks for responding!

Hello, no one like to get fat. I also. But eating is not responsible for fats. What are you eating and how you are eating decide quantity of fats. So what you eat, eat healthy one. Always eat to satisfy your hunger not your tongue.

I guess I was irresponsible before. I eat a lot. I only stop eating until my tummy is very full. I will try to eat food that is right to satisfy my hunger. Thanks for your response!

I also feel I am born to eat :D But I don't have the problem with weight just because I want to try as many new things as possible. I eat mainly because of the taste and not because I am hungry. On the other hand if you want to slow down your apetite you may try by drinking a cup or two hot water about half an hour before your dinner.

I was not like this before. I started when I was working. I guess one of the reasons why I am getting fat today is I am not able that active anymore. I am only sitting the whole day in the office with a computer in front of me. Good for you that you are not gaining much weight even though you like eating. Hehehe..

hello, I also dont like to be fat because it is not good for me since I am tall. I am really conscious in my belly because I know that people will notice it as soon as I wear a fit dress or something. I am controlling myself eating by making on time eating and I used the after six habit since this is really effective that after six I should not eat anything.

Yes, it is the belly that is very obvious. People say that you are fat if they see your belly bigger than before. Actually this is my problem too. I am wanting to get rid the fats and have abs. hehehe. Wishful thinking.

LOL depriving you from eating what you like will never work for a simple reason, and it is that you LOVE to eat it. It feels so bad being deprived from what you love, doesn't it? that's the reason you always say "-Okay, just a little bit to calm my anxiety, it will harm none" But you end up one day, sitting in your seat, watching television, with a big pot of icecream, a ton of chips, and a big piece of cake ! And in one day you recuperate all you suffered for weeks! so, the only possible answer is to continue eating what you like (LOVE), you can reduce it off course, but instead of basing your weighloss goal on food, base it on exercise, walk more, do specific exercises, get a membership for a gym, etc. You'll see how even despite the fact you continue eating that otherwise forbidden stuff, you feel better with yourself and start losing weigh.

It is hard to avoid eating those food that you love. It's very difficult. Sounds like a sacrifice. Isn't it? I think you are right. I will just have to minimize eating too much of them. I have to be cautious now on my diet. I hope I can make it this year!

Hi champoy, When i was working eating less is not a problem to me.I usually have coffee in the morning, skip lunch and only eat rice at night.So my figure is not my problem then.. Now that i am a stay home mom,i only have coffee in the morning,i always try to eat less in the afternoon and in the evening so as not to gain more weight. I think i am doing such because my husband is away,i need to be more fit in order to let his eyes fixed on me and only me.If i will be fat and he is away he might want to look for someone fit than i am..That has been my motivation for years now.

No,i don't eat breakfast eversince,me and my husband.We tried once but we poop after and i feel so heavy that is why we were back to skipping breakfast.but we thought our daughter to eat breakfast.

I guess that is not good. It is advisable to eat breakfast. It would be okay if you don't much your lunch and dinner as long as you have breakfast.

Hi champoy. I having a same habit as you, but i just taking a meal with a little of calories. Some of time i do exercise to avoid or become fat and keep the body weight in control. I suggest u take a meal less at night, tats the best way to avoid fatness even eat much in a day.

Sometimes I eat a lot at night especially if the foods are delicious. I can't help myself. But now I am determined to lose this fat in my belly. I have to eat less at night. I'm glad that you have share your tips. Happy mylotting!

Dont think about food, get something to keep you occupied, i find being busy is a way to get distracted from foof thoughts, also maybe join the gym, then you wont feel to guilty when eating.

Thank you for sharing some tips for me karin27. I will try to make myself busy as what you've said above. I haven't tried it before I hope it will work out on me. I have no plan in going to the gym. I guess it is a waste of money because if you stop working out in the gym. You will get fat again. I prefer simple yet effective ways to get this fat off. Happy mylotting!

Just be conscious on your diet. Avoid fatty foods. It would be better also to have a nutritionist who could assist you in achieving your New Year's resolution, as they say, Health is wealth!

If you are not that fat I think you need not abstain. You can eat just about everything you want but don't eat just enough and never too much. Just learn how to control yourself when it comes to food and you must also have a regular 30 to 45 minutes workout. If you do this, I find no reason why you will grow fat.

Hello champoy.. i believe it's a classic problem especially for women but still..so hard to deal with!! Ten years ago I had serious problem of getting fat. Food was something i can't reject, n for result i was so fat n suprised for how bad it could be. Then i started to evaluate my self n found that my lack of activity has turn my perspective of eating as a solution everytime i get bored.So i decided to get busy then tried to start a healthy diet by controlling my food especially for dinner.Now i'm pretty satisfied with my body. My advice to you is start to evaluate why the foods 'r so tempting n why u can't control it..maybe if you know the reason you can fix it n more easy to run a healthy diet like i was before..
