what are the things that makes you feel old? Well I am going to share some things that does make feel old even if I am only 26. Some songs I grow up with are now being in the "classics" play list of radio stations. They were still new for me but its now considered old for some reason. Former childstars being adults, I felt weird when I see some former childstars playing adult roles, I know they were adults already but its so weird to see them as adults, cos I see them most on TV as a kid. I saw a certain actress playing a child 5 years ago, now she have a leadingman. Politicians ending their term, Whenever a politician ends his or her term, It makes me think hey, its like few years ago when he/she has been in the office. It makes me realize 6 years are over. Playstation 3 is now 10 years old.I just have my PS3 and now its going to be phased out cos Ps4 will be released soon, damn it. A movie I watched on cinema few years ago is now going to have a Tv premiere,It makes me think time runs really fast and I hate it. what are the things that makes you feel old?

The fact that people that I remember as infants are going into about the 5th or 6th grade is making me feel old. I really cringe every time when anyone younger than me is celebrating a birthday these days. There are just going to be a lot of times where I cannot believe it but is true. People grow up so fast and then time really tends to go by. Also the fact that it is 2012 in general. I remember when everyone was all excited, in a stir, that 2000 was coming, everyone was panicking that the world was going to end because of Y2K. I have a feeling in 2024 we'll all be looking back at the latest end of the world hysteria and laughing. Still the fact that it is 2000. The fact that cartoons that I remember watching as a child are considered to be classics. Time sure does pass and it's only going to get worse with age.

A neighbor of mine who I used to see as a baby is not a fully grown 20 year old hottie. She is not the ugly bald baby that always frawns anymore,. I never expected her to end up as a beautiful woman. I was 6 years old when I saw her as a baby. I was one of those people who panicked with Y2k, I remember during those times my computer is Windows 95, guess what nothing horrible happened, the computer is still working for 2 more years, until my parents had installed 98 and Xp.

In November last year my first niece was born. It is strange to think about fact that my brother has become a father. He is much younger than me and I used to take him for a walk in his baby carriage. Now is taking his own baby for a walk, that definately makes me feel old A lot of things have changed since my childhood. When I grew up we had black and white tvs, cassette tapes and records and no internet, dvds, cellphones and ipods. It makes me feel old when I think about the things that have changed since that time. I still keep some of my old cassette tapes, but my friends tease me about it and say that they belong in a museum.

Until now I cant believe that I survived the 90's without internet, because I cant survive without internet nowadays. A cousin of mine who use to be a baby, is now a highschool student. I remember how I thought dreamcast is so awesome and its the ultimate gaming console....I'm wrong. also if you will watch the series finale of a TV show you followed, it will remind you how you watched it from episode 1.

Getting older...and you smile? - Yes, he (me) was; this was over 2 years ago. I'm even older now.
Until recently, I occasionally felt old, but it never bothered me, except in one respect, regret...regret over missed opportunities in the past. I am definitely getting older, but it wasn't something that ever troubled me much; that is, until recently, when a medical report revealed I'm not as healthy as I once was. That mde me feel older than normal. You think you're indestructible; at least I did...when i think of the things I've put myself through; until recently...pretty well perfect health for decades. Now I realise...physically I've turned a corner. That makes me feel a little old, I have to confess. It's not a joke any more. I really am aging.

I have regrets in the past but I am trying to forget about them, I want to do right decisions in the present so I wont have more regrets in the future. I want some changes in my future, I might change my lifestyle too.

there are married people though who still feel young. Iknow many people say age is just a number but its not. Numbers does makes me feel old. I hate being 26 years old, I miss being 18 years old.

Well, since I was 21 when you were born, this makes me FEEL old. Making me realize I have been out of High School almost 30 yrs. Listening to Big Hits from the 70s and 80s and remembering where I was when they came out. Remember 1976 being a Citennial yr. and now we are in 2012? Looking back to all the changes I continue to see in everything now being politically challenged and not wanting to just watch as it happens, etc. Life in general with all my Health issues as well.

Indeed! Seeing former child stars now grown-up makes me feel old, too! I saw Chuckie Dreyfuss in Survivor Philippines and I remembered him as a child star in his That's Entertainment days and it just made me realized that I'm already old. (Although it was actually my older sister's time but I was already aware of it in during my childhood). Having a changed in my taste of clothes also makes me feel old. I don't buy the young generation's clothes anymore. Although I still follow the trend, I buy "adult" clothes now. Even my activities have changed. I used to go out a lot at night with friends. But now, I mostly go home early and rest after a day's work. I guess age is catching up to me even though I haven't reached 30.

Folk music? I'm glad I haven't changed my taste of music. And I still get a henna tattoo whenever I have a chance. LOL to your shaved anime hair because of Justin Bieber. LOL

Its not ordinary folk music its Norwegian Folk, Those Norwegians, English is not their first language but they make better English lyrics than the mainstream American pop, rock and RNB have. These are examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2yuDTJInHM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8M0RZNZwr4 Basically in Norway they dont care what you look like, they care about what you sound like, how you play instruments and how good is the lyrics you write, I also love how they make love with the English language, Unlike the Gangraping and abuse English language is going through with Mainstream American Lyrics.

Things that make me feel old are..."kids" i used to baby sit are getting married or having babies of their own. My youngest sister - 15 years younger than me...asked what a cassette tape was. Seeing something thats "retro" coming into style again and knowing it was so totally in style when i was a kid or teen. Thinking wow its been more than 10 years since i graduated. My mom being a grandma...

If a kid asked me what a cassete tape is, I would be heart broken. I have a good collection of cassete tapes and they were still working and I still play them. I have an Ipod and an Ipad but somehow I still have a nostalgic side.

I dont have any anymore...nor antyhing to play them with. I got quite a giggle the other day when someone on Facebook posted asking what the relationship between a matchbook and an 8 track cassette was...i remember having to put one between the bottom of the player and the 8track to keep it from wobbling out!

I think 20 years from now, kids will be asking what is a CD? I can see USB's and digital format medias to replace disk completely. I mean CD's were damn clutters to many people thats why they just buy songs in Itunes while others do it the illegal way *pirate bay* cough* *very awesome piratebay*

The most common, I suppose, is that the music we grow up with, is, not only on the classic lists now, but, it is consider old, for younger people. Also the clothing, specially when what younger people use, is so diferent to those we used. While growing, some of our tastes changes too, and finding yourself, buying some "adult" things, you just hate some years back, can make you feel old, when you think about it.

Having a 3rd year daughter makes me feel old. Seeing her having her CAT training and preparing for the JS Prom makes me feel old. Seeing my 2 daughters growing and hearing them talk of their future helps me feel old. And of course the pain in my legs due to suspicions that I already have an arthritis and the "keep forgetting things" syndrome makes me feel old. Seeing our CRT television and the plates in my cabinet which reminds me that they are wedding gifts to us 14 years ago. There are actually a lot of things which reminds me that I am now old. Even seeing new models of cars in the street makes me feel old.

WEll, I'm almost 30 years older than you so if you are feeling that now...just brace yourself...it's only going to get faster. Someone on here mentioned tv screens that roll...I'd forgotten about those but that was a reminder. Days of no computers or cds or even cassette tapes....video tapes and games were unheard of. Milk and bread used to get delivered to our door.It was a sin if you lived with your boyfriend prior to marriage and Lord forbid if you got pregnant before marriage...your parents would hide you out for a few months. Times sure have changed.

Hi CaptAlbert! Well for me its seeing my grandchild growing! haha Yeah at my age now I already have a grandchild from my husband's niece! It makes feel older since I met the girl when she's just 10 and no she already have her own baby! And another thing is seeing my brother taller than me and graduating from collage...it makes me feel older again since I am 10 years older than him...huh! And also counting the years that I spend with my husband coz I am with him since I am 17 and now we are nearing to our well just 8th yr wedding anniv, plus 5 years of being bf/gf... Everything that you mentions also makes me feel old and yes, seeing those teenage actresses that I admire in my teenage years to portray a mother role now! haha and many more things... well well we can't do anything about it now but to accept the fact that we are all getting old...so maybe the best thing that we can do is to grow old gracefully...

An actress I use to see as a sexgoddess is now playing the role of a mother of a 20 year old actress who is now playing the role of a mother, making her a Grandma in the story,I hate her for accepting the role cos her being old makes me feel old. I know in our country 30 year old is considered old. I wanna leave this country before I was 30, before this country considers me old. What is next? Cyril Manabat playing the role of a mother? Oh she already did.
