How do you relax when your computer is acting up?

I must say I am not an expert computer user. When there is a diagnostic test run, it always says that I am a "novice user" (I would say I am an intermediate user only I don't know how to program and can't fix many of the problems that occur...)
Because I do not know what to do, the frustration that can arise sometimes feels overwhelming...
I have felt like throwing the computer even though I would never do that as it is too expensive... and as the desktop computer I use is too big to throw...
I am wondering what you all do to calm yourself down when you have a computer problem?
I have a friend who tells me, "Step away from the computer." I tend to resist and keep on trying to fix the problem... and call support and pray for real help. I may also swear a bit... although I hate to admit it. And of course snacking is really a fun way to deal with the stress although it does nothing for the figure given what I choose to snack on then... comfort food.
What do you do when your computer is acting up?

Hi there whiteheron!!!
Well whenever my pc coz too much trouble what I do is to let it rest for a while and let my self rest too. Then I'll boot it up again and if doesn't want to I'll go and check the cablings. If this don't do any good then I'm gonna go open up the cpu and try to examine what's wrong.Since my course is related to computers most of the time I can solve any problems that arises when it comes to my pc.

Letting yourself and your computer rest is indeed a good thing to do.
I am glad that you have the experience necessary to fix your computer when it has problems...
And that you know when to step away from the computer when you need to.
Doing both is a very good thing.

I am glad that you have a computer expert in your family. That is a nice thing to have. And the fact that he is willing to help you is priceless. There are many people who have relations who are unwilling to help them on the computer... He deserves lots of thanks for helping you out. Learn how to do some fixes and reward him for his kindness to you...
Just saying this because I have been hearing about many computer experts who get frustrated at having the burden of so many computers that are dependent on them.
