Does The Start Of 2012 Make You Restless..Nervous Even?

I'm not talking about the End of the World necessarily (although that Doomsday Clock has moved closer to 12 o'clock, therefore Armageddon) but..I dunno, I can't put my finger on it.. I just feel that something is going to happen and I don't really know what it is. Not helping here am I lol. Does anyone else feel the same way or is it me being weird and thinking too much? I'm also anxious that this year will be much the same as the last one but that one's down to me, of course. Life is what you make it as they say. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKogleZs0uw&feature=related

Haha, yes, that's the best way..not having the time. I think that's my problem..too much time, even though I don't exactly get up from my bed early. What's the point? There's nowhere to go (realistically) on my own during weekdays so I keep busy by cleaning, fussing over the cat and baking whenever I can be bothered!

I am nervous for this year as well. Mostly, I fear the repetition of it. Go to school, get home, go to work, sleep, and so on. While usually I can deal with it, I'm afraid I'm going to end up being the same guy I was last year. Right now, I'm feeling like I have to change something, anything, in order to feel like I actually accomplished something. Oh, and that Mayan Calendar thing scares me as well. I just don't think about it, though. I suggest you do the same, and instead live life to the fullest.

That's the word I was looking for, 'repetition' and I fear it too..and I also feel I have to change something but don't know what that is yet. I'm usually good with my instincts but they're way off beam this time. Oh, I don't worry about the Mayan calendar..just politicians worldwide who suddenly don't know what they're doing.

I am not getting that feeling at all. I think it will be the opposite. I think this year will actually be a good year all around. I know I have to get some things done for myself, and if I can accomplish them I know it would be a good year for me. I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't believe what is called Doomsday, unless some asteroid collides with earth one day.Sometimes the man-made calamity is more terrible than nature disaster. What would happen if we all spend what we have spent on military affairs on public welfare.

Brilliantly put my friend! Countries always find money to arm themselves don't they? Scrap all weapons and we're forced to get along aren't we?

Nuclear weapon is no more than a deterrent power.None of countries can use it.However they have to pay good money for it.

If it is to happen no one can ever escape from the evil hands of destiny...But im not going to worry until december...bcoz there after no one can avoid worrying. The media, newspapers and other sources of information are discussing so much so about this topic no body can stop thinking of it...In the month of december, there is no doubt that every channel will be flooding with news mostly on this topic every now and then until the day arrives...God knows what happens actually on that date!

It wouldn't surprise me if some country somewhere does something evil on purpose, just because we're half expecting it. No doubt Iran will get invaded at some point..and I really hope that day doesn't come. It wouldn't solve anything.

No one can do anything on this aspect...Don't spend time thinking about That, which has no solution, no clarity and no understanding. Its just a prediction...lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.If any country does some evil on purpose, the people surviving their will be very severely affected. The ruling party should think before they leap.

Well, you keep yourself busy and try not to think about it..oh, and the 2012 film was based on some silly prediction that isn't even correct..all for outrageous special effects for a film with no plot.
14 Jan 12
if you are thinking like that you will be fool Special effects can be real and it is not a silly prediction.

Hey Janey.. I do not really feel anxious.. If the world is going to end then no one can predict the judgement day... it is the God Almighty who will decide whether the world should cease to exist or not... It is not upto us-humans, to decide that... So I disbelieve the predictions about 2012... If the last day is going to come to Humans then I'll face it like a man... :) But I don't think, it'll happen... See we will wish happy new year 2013 too, in 12 months... Take care...

Would you call the feeling you have, the famous ‘female intuition’? A touch of nerves, a dash of fears, makes this potent fusion. If the world ends, it will end, nothing there to fear, Nothing matters anymore when the end is near. Then there is something in the world and you, You’ll come out alright, but with some déjà vu. Cheers to good feelings!

In fact, I am nervous about 2012! Aside from the big expense that I can't escape before the year end, this is the year when my 'business venture' would come to a head. I started a business last year, and I was hoping that it would help me out come tax season this year. Tax season is just around the corner, and I am still anxious if I did all the right things last year so I could truly benefit from it.

I'm really looking forward to this year because it is the one in which I will be moving to a better life in a nicer town! I'm not in the least bothered about the Mayan Calendar thingy as I believe things will change for the better for all Mankind. There are too many doomsayers around! We should think positively and not let them get their own way! If too many people are gloomy, then something gloomy will happen. We don't want that!

It's great when there is something to look forward too and moving to somewhere nicer would be high on my list of "things to do" lol. I do try to be more positive but it's hard sometimes. Don't ever change that avatar, it cheers me up sooo much!

i am actually quite looking forward to 2012 on a personal level, but that's because there are a lot of things i have worked hard at changing, over a long period of time, that will come to fruition, so i am both scared but excited, personally. but i can see there may well be some serious problems for the world economy, and in the uk, over the next year. you sound as if you feel stuck in a rut janey, which is a shame. though ruts, by their nature, can be easy to get into but a lot of hard work to get out of. if i were you i might start by dealing with my anxiety issues, as fear is a major factor in stopping us doing what we really want to. i quite like the idea of life scripts, which is an important concept in transactional analysis type therapy. whereby we, some how or other, when young, created a script in our head, that tells us there are things we can't do,and limits us. it might be worth exploring some of these self help ideas a bit, just to try moving forward, like everything some of its rubbish but some of it is very good, and i am sure you are capable of spotting the difference.

Wow, I've never heard of "transactional analysis type therapy" but I do now. I shall explore this, thanks...and yes, I DO suffer from anxiety, which doesn't help me one bit...especially in finding work.

ahh, you are thinking too much LOL! But seriously, it seems, almost every hour something distressful happened in a certain part of the globe. The thought about that certainly makes anyone nervous. But the more you feed your thoughts about the idea of the end of the world, the more you become frighten of what is going to happen. It will come definitely. As a bible-believer, it has been taught long time ago that the end will come but not one would ever know. It would come like a thief in the night. But, you know, we really don't have to dwell on that feeling. whatever the reason of your fidgeting, I hope we will all be fine this year. I always try to tell myself that this year would be a year of many wonderful surprises. Negative thoughts --go away! LOL

Well.. i do not feel anything like you do. Maybe is your subconcious from all the weird things happening: The End of the World, Economic Crisis, natural disasters... With all this negativity around you is completely normal to feel like something is about to change... So do not worry and keep up with positive and creative thoughts about your life.

Janey all I am feeling is very ill with the flu,I am not worried a bout the silly prophecy at all. I am concerned that I have bronchitis and I am still ill and coughing almost continuously and feeling breathless and worn out. So will make a doctors appt tomorrow as I cannot keep just doing this for another week. The world will have to take care of itself as I have to take care of me right now.
