I plan to start working out to lose weight and running to train for a half marathon. Good songs help me stay motivated and energized when I feel like quitting or am tired. Two of my favorite songs to run to are Linkin Park's Numb and Eminem's Lose yourself. These songs really give me a boost of energy. What are some songs that you all like to run to.

I've heard Lose Myself by Eminem was the most preferred workout music for celebs.
I'd suggest some happy dance music to keep the blood pumping YEAH!

Cool. I'd never heard that it was the most preferred workout music for celebs but I'm not surprised. I'm not a big Eminem fan but that song really gets you motivated especially when running.

Fun country songs!! Best thing for me to exercise too. Any song that has faster paced music in it helps keep me going.
Here are a couple songs that might keep you motivated:
1) Standing Outside the Fire - Garth Brooks

(sorry could only find a Harry Potter video with this song! lol)
2)All I ever Wanted - Chuck Wicks (fun song, cute singer lol)
3) She Wouldn't Be Gone - Blake Shelton
4) Girls Lie Too - Terri Clark
5) Relentless - Jason Aldean
There's a few to start you off! I don't know if you currently listen to country music, but I gave you a variety of songs (give them a chance!). Let me know if you like them and I'll recommend more!

Good suggestion. I like Michael Jackson's music but I'd never thought to workout to it. I'm sure I could find plenty of songs by him that would be good. I dont think he has anything I would run to but many songs that I can workout with. Thanks.

Anything upbeat, really. My top songs for such a situation would have to be:
1. All Nightmare Long by Metallica
2. Natural Born Killer by Avenged Sevenfold
3. Slow Burn by Atreyu
4. The Last Fight by Bullet For My Valentine
5. Bullet With A Name by Nonpoint
It all matters on your preference, really. I like Linkin Park's "Numb", as well as Eminem's "Lose Yourself", so maybe you ought to try looking for some Nu-Metal instead. Hope this helps.

I like Bullet with a Name. It has a good beat and chorus I think I can run to. I prefer Enter Sandman to All Nightmare Long. A few Atreyu songs seem promising. I'll look into some Nu-Metal. I appreciate the suggestions.
