Have you ever witnessed a spontaneous miraculous healing?

I’ve never seen one, though I do believe that God can still heal people through a miraculous act. When I say miracle, I mean someone was healed right then and there and it was visible. You know… like someone with one leg way shorter than the other, and the leg was instantly made the same length as the other one… or a person whose face and body was terribly burned and was miraculously healed instantly when prayed for?
I believe it is possible, but have never seen it. I believe if anything like this did happen, there would be medical evidence and it would have been on the news to tell the world. I’ve never heard of it, or seen it happen, but that doesn’t mean anyone else hasn’t seen it happen.
So please… if you have seen a miracle happen, what was it? Where were you when you saw it happen? There should be some kind of record of a miraculous healing, I would think.
Your thoughts?

I agree. If you think about it, every day we live on earth is a miracle. There are so many ways a person could die each and every day, just by accident. I feel every day that I am above ground and drawing breath, that is a miracle in itself. I was talking about bigger miracles, but I believe our lives are full of many small miracles.

I know that miracles are real as my daughter experienced on in her body as a baby.
Without making it a long story, when she was born her one hip bone was not fused into the socket as it should be. Xrays showed a space about as thick as a half dollar.
The doctor said she have to have a cast from her waist to her ankles with a bar across the bottem, and changed every so often, to 'push' it back into place.
My husband was raised in a family that believed in praying for the sick, healings, and miracles. So we had her prayed for and when they examined her about 6 weeks later, in order to prepare measurements for the cast, the bone "was fused into the socket."
That's not possible to happen naturally within that short of a time, so yes, I believe in miracles, and we've experienced one in our child.
That was over 40 yrs. ago, and she is fine today and has no problem with that hip at all.

Let me tell you my Dad's story & you can decide for yourself. On July 3, 2011, I went over & cooked his lunch as I did every Sunday. On Monday, July 4, he called to say he was sick. I took him some over-the-counter meds & sat with him for a good while. He eventually decided he needed to go to the ER & I drove him there. It took the doctors weeks to determine he had colon cancer & his colon was completely blocked. The doctors wanted to remove it, but Dad refused. My Mom has passed back in October, 2008, & he said he was 87 years old & he was ready to join her. Nobody could change his mind. When time came for him to leave the hospital, we moved him to a local hospice. His hospice doctor kept telling us that he couldn't possibly make it through another week. He had been very active in his church & a lot of his friends from church would come to visit him & pray over him. The doctor would come in & say he'd never seen anything like it as Dad was suddenly growing stronger. The doc returned one day to say Dad probably wouldn't make it more than 2 or 3 days. A good friend came in & prayed over him & the doc said he was growing stronger. Once Dad had passed, the doctor admitted to us that Dad would get all the way to what he called bottoming out & suddenly shoot back up to almost normal. What the doctor hadn't seen that I did was that EVERY time it happened, somebody had been doing power prayers over him!!! In the end, nothing could save him as he was determined to go. I think he figured out the system & used it to his advantage. He had NEVER taken meds & was asking for a lot of the pain meds as he claimed he was in pain. I have NO doubt that he was hurting, but I know he'd have NEVER taken the meds. Anyway, I watched for almost a month & he would get as close to the bottom as he could go, somebody would pray over him & he'd start getting stronger. It didn't turn out to be a miracle simply because he REFUSED his miracle!!!

Thank you for sharing this. I agree with you, he refused his miracle. I think if he would have participated by believing and thanking God for his healing, that he might very well be alive now. We know it is appointed for every man once to die, but who knows when God calls us home… Maybe God was giving your dad a choice to live or die, and by not participating in his healing, he was allowed to go ‘home’ instead.
I believe that when they were praying, this was boosting his immune system to fight the disease and for him to rally, but if his mind set was that he was tired and wanted to go home, then probably the miracle didn’t happen. I would count that a miracle that he did respond to the prayers each time.
I believe your dad is happy and healthy now in heaven with your mom.

I know he is happy & healthy in Heaven now that he is back with his beloved wife & God. To me the miracle was the 3 extra weeks I got to spend with him before he ultimately gave up his battle!!!

Hi PointlessQuestions, I have never witnessed a miraculous healing either but I think it is possible, not only in Christianity but in other religions as well, in fact I'm not sure it has anything to do with religion. A number of years ago I read of two reporters from a national magazine,(I'm not sure which one)who investigated such healing and did a write up for the paper. This was back when Oral Roberts was much talked about and it was claimed that many people were healed at his crusades. The investigation found no proof of such healings at these religious meetings. They did find however that there were healings that could not be explained and these happened at the Roman Catholic Shrines and in Christian Science. They did no investigation outside of Christianity. I did have a trusted friend who told me of a Miraculous healing that he witnessed in Christian Science. A man he was working with on a scaffold, fell several stories into the street. He was with him and while waiting for an ambulance a Christian Science Practitioner arrived on the scene. My friend said that the man who fell was unconscious and he felt certain must have had most of the bones in his body broken. The Practitioner appeared to pray silently for a moment, than spoke to the man in a quiet voice. The man who had fallen fallen opened his eyes, got up and the two walked away. Needless to say, my friend started attending the Christian Science church, and although he never became a member never forgot what he had witnessed. Blessings.

Hi Pose! Thanks for sharing this with me. I agree. I don't know that religion is a factor. I believe God is God no matter what religion you are. God has done much for me in my life. I won't claim they are miracles but I know that I wouldn't be alive now if God had not had a hand in my life.

Right.. I’ve heard of anecdotal reports but nothing that has ever been substantiated. I do believe it is possible, and maybe someone here has seen one… if so maybe they will tell us about what they saw or experienced.

Dear PQ happened to me more than 20 years ago, I had bad stomach aches, they were constant no matter what I eat or drink and I got meds which didnt help me and my doctor back in my hometown then said, you dont need meds you need a change in your situation. hmmmmmmm how should that be possible. Then I was back to work after about three weeks of sick leave and the assistant manager asked me whether I would like to fill in another new position and I said yes. so it was pack up and get to your new office in the other building tomorrow. woohoo.
Then this weekend I was to church and asked for prayer cause of the stomach aches. Was prayed over, didnt feel a thing, okay lets see what happens, Monday was the first workday and I went to my new workplace, sorted out some stuff there from the boxes and then the crew had breakfast together and I drank the super strong coffee one of our computer guys had cooked no stomach problems any more and I knew I was healed......
