Hello Lotters,
I had to admit that it's been a while or months that i have not taken the use of my mobile phone. Kinda lost my apetite of having a text mate or sending messages to people that one time one of my Sim Cards had expired.
Though i bought a new one after that and another Sim on a different network i still wasn't incline to do texting. maybe the addiction has run out of me, it's a good that i got the addicted divert back to mylot though.
Have a nice day

I text allot but I'm not texting things that aren't needed because I think it's not worth the money. My texts are mostly going to my friend to make an apointment to meet somewhere. Texting is also less expensive than calling so you can reach someone that is not at home easy and you don't have to pay allot for it.

Hi LK..
Good to hear that you are getting addicted here again..
About text messaging I am really bad in it from starting. I use text message feature very rarely. I had get many free SMS offers on my mobile and they all got ended without I completed those free SMS. So for me I never got addicted to text messaging. But yes I have few friends who are still addicted to it. I can say this because I am really getting lots of messages from some of them.

I wouldn't call it addiction. More like making the most out of texting. It is still by far the most basic and cheapest way to communicate with everyone. I never remember myself getting hooked on it like it was a hobby or something.

Hello Victorkrish,
Maybe i should shock them and give them a text message instead. in here, text messaging is really a cheap way of talking or chatting friends in a simplier way

Letran, when i was still young and single before, i am also an addict to text messaging, too. I can see myself loves to text my friends, and sisters and even my relatives whenever i am free. I remembered there is one time that i was too busy texting until i forgot to eat my dinner. My mother was very angry and asked me not to go near cell phone whenever it is dinner time. Now, i seldom text messages to my friends and famiy, since we can chat online through YM.

I've never considered myself addicted to texting, but it is definitely my preferred means of communication if I just have something short to say. I can't stand talking on the phone so

Hello MakingCents, It's good to know that you are not addicted to texting and instead you focus a lot more of communication with friends. though communication is a good addiction to keep you afloat with things around you and friends or families. hahaha same here, i couldn't find ways to express better

I was a text addict! I can compose messages without looking at the keypad. I have already memorized where all the letters and numbers are. But now, it's different in QWERTY phone. I am getting confused. It's different when you're typing on your computer keyboard. Totally different! But now, because of unlimited calls, I no longer want to text.

I used to subscribe into promo for unlimited text way back before when I'm in school to pass chain messages, jokes and quotes.Today, I just do text when someone text me and I need to reply or just text when I need to say or ask to someone.

Personally, I have never gotten the hang of text messaging. I am so bad at texting! Haha! So, I can honeslty say that I am not a text messaging addict.
I have friends who text all the time though who say that it is very addicting.

Hello ballerina, Well, it's a good thing too, I've watch news about these surveys regarding radiation coming out of the phone itself. though it has never proved yet nor approved i think it's safe to say that not using my phone has it's advantages.

I never git addicted to text messaging even during it's hype in the early 2000's where a lot of mobile phones where being introduced to the market. I remember in those days people began to buy mobile phones with a frenzy and because of its success, the networks were congested a lot. Sometimes it takes four hours before you are able to get your text message.
When I started working in the call center industry, my friends were all teasing me because I was still using an old mobile phone. They were all upgrading their phones but I was too lazy to even pick a new model out and stuck to my reliable Nokia 5110. My best friend threatened to flush my phone down the toilet so that I could buy a new phone and it was already 2006.
I now have a postpaid line which includes the text messaging service but even that I have not been able to consume. I am still not into texting and if I really want to contact a friend, I would either call them or send an email instead.

hi letranknight,
I have the same inclination just like you. I just do texting once there is an important message to say or to greet someone during special occassion. I am more inclined on my profession and once people see me just texting on my seat, its the time I am talking with parents of my students or some colleagues of mine. I have never been inclined on texting strangers or meeting them at a certain place.

Here in my country texting is a huge thing. Everybody prefers to text than call. It really depends especially on the good deals our telecommunication companies are coming out with. But messaging is something our country will not turn their backs on since it is cheap for us here.

Hi Letran Knight: I must admit that I have never been addicted to text messages, simply because I feel they take much of your time but I have seen people on their Blackberries texting with their friends while they are taking the bus, working, going to college or even when they are in church. It's unbelievable people could get so addicted to a tool like text messages.

I remember during the late 90s when text messaging was free and it was only available through Globe, i was like texting every minute to my friends and we feel like we belong to an exclusive group sharing secrets and all through text messaging. We had our own world then! When messages started to lag, that's when i stopped getting addicted to it. Though i'm on a postpaid line, i never got addicted to text messaging till BBM came, then Whatsapp, Kakaotalk and Viber. Through an unlimited data plan i get to enjoy talking and calling my friends for free even those from million miles away from me. The best part of all is that it's FREE! So sometimes i would talk to my friends for 8 hours or more and those friends are from another country.

OMG, that is one thing I just could not get..a lot of phone
services are included in a television package for free so
please don't text me expecting to an answer...Because I do
not text...
My sister texted me with a question and before I was able to
respond she was asking me another question...I was wondering
why not just pick up the phone and call me.. you only press
the buttons once...
I don't get it...and don't know if I ever will.....
