Hi fellow mylotters,
I'm so obsessed with smileys and use it in almost every discussion/response ...
And i've pretty much read the FAQ and it didn't say anything about them
So please tell me ,is there any problem with the excessive usage of smileys? :)

You will have noticed that you can only add up to 3 emoticons per post. There isn't any problem with how much you use them otherwise except that some people find them immature and annoying and may choose not to take you seriously or may simply ignore you in discussions.
Emoticons are provided as a 'service' and do nothing to increase your earnings.

Ah! I was referring to the built-in emoticons which you probably can't use yet - the ones available from the 'myLot code' menu on the left. At the moment you will be able to use only the text formatting commands - Bold, Italic and Underline but when you reach a certain User Rating, the emoticons such as , or will become available. I believe that you need a User Rating of 200 before you can do this.
'Smileys' should always be used in moderation. If you over-use them, they become meaningless.

Well there is no rules for using smiley here.. you can add as many as you like.. it is just that you should add some comments to the discussions as well.. only adding smileys will not help..

I know how you feel. I was so impatient to reach 200 because I wanted to use the MyLot emotes so badly
I try not to use the emotes too often because I don't want to potentially annoy other users. I try to use only one emote per post, even though I know the limit is 3. It's just that the emotes can help to bring some tone to the post. If a post sounds rude or sarcastic when it isn't supposed to be, I can insert a smile and it no longer sounds that way
And sometimes, I'll just use them for fun!
