I woke up this morning reading a message from my sister that our mom won't eat. I don't know what to do. Before going to the office, I dropped by the house of my mom and there I saw that she's very weak and her aide helped her drink milk. Then I went to work. I was so worried, I didn't work well so I decided to take the afternoon off. When I was already at the terminal, my sister sent a text message to me telling me that our mom already ate. So I was happy. When I arrived home, there was a heavy rain so I didn't go to their house until it was already late in the afternoon. I helped my sister changed our mom's clothes. After we tucked her to bed, I went home. Now, I'm worried about her health. She's already old and senile.

pahak your mom is lu cky to have you and your sister, and an aide. I am sorry to hear she is getting so frail. 82 is getting up there. I am 85, and in a retirement center, R ight now I am not feeling my best either as I seem to have gotten a bad case of the flu.I had let myson know I was not improving so he suggested I get an appt with my doctor. One never knows with these viral infections whether or not you need to get your doctors help but having been ill for almost two weeks I think my doctor needs to check me out. I have not had much appetite since food all tastes blah but I eat enou ght to keep up mystrength. good luck with your mom and best wishes.hugs from hatley.

You must love your mom very much. I know how you feel and your anxiety because i feel the same when my mom is not feeling too well. I believe that mom's appetite is something temporary and the problem will resolve soon. You should prepare meals that she likes and light cooked.

Yes I love her very much. We feel the same way parascevi. She's the only mother that I have. If I were to choose a mother, I will still choose her. I owe everything from her and my father. If not for them, I will not be what I am today.

thank you. we just had her confined at the hospital because we really don't know what to do. She can't talked anymore. She's so week that she could not bring her hands up. We just want her comfort as her hospital room is more comfortable than the room where she has been staying for years.

I hope your mum get better soon! at 82 she is not exactly young and they seem to lose their need for food...try her to eat often but in small portions and things she really like! that way she would have the nourishment she needs.

Every child, will be concerned with the mother, especially in ill-health. You should be more often, look in your mother. Hopefully, your mother, immediately healthier.

My MIL is also weak but I think weak persons can not make healthy. Even they drink milk, eat fruits etc.

hello, your mother probably did not eat because he missed you, but after he met with you, he once ate a sense of missed already been treated for your arrival, so do not because there is something that happens at your mother to see her, try to spend a little time to occasionally visit her.

There are nutritional drinks that contain extra vitamins and minerals. The most common brands in the U.S. are Ensure and Boost. If your mother can drink milk, she could drink a supplement. My husband has stomach problems and practically lives on Ensure.

You just ask your mother that what was happened? why did you behave like this? you just clearly know the reason why she is so mourn? and then console her that you are the mother of mine. and i love you so much. i will always support you in all cases. just assure her that you are beside of her.
