Will you be watching the live coverage of the impeachment proceedings?

This is another important part of history. We never got to finish the Estrada impeachment that was aborted by the People Power. I for one will watch it just to gain the necessary information from the trial instead of relying on the grandstanding of several congressmen on TV. I want to hear the facts not the opinions gained from the media that is being used as a venue for a public trial.

Yes, the trial itself is a good way of proving or disproving some things about the controversy. It's very easy for people, especially the ones involved, to say anything in the public without consideration to the gravity of their statements. However, I am not going to watch the whole trial. My reason is that even it is a trial, there will be innuendos and rumors. Nothing gets resolved because the 'losing' party feels vindicated and fee;s teh role of being the 'victim' , the 'nadaya' and so other alike monikers. If a party graciously accepts defeat, then maybe we can have some sense of closure over this issue.
Also, the fact that the impeachment trial is a mostly political process makes me think that the senator-jurors, the prosecution and the defense will only cater to the voting public. They are already planning out their 'electionability' for the next election. They might cry for justice but they are also sheltering their elections prospects.
My only hope is that we learn the truth no matter how it hurts, we remain objective, and we learn to accept things in a dignified manner. I don't want to see another EDSA when we can do this in a more proper and legal proceeding. at least, let us prove that the justice system in this coutnry works, even for the time being

Same here, I am not going to watch the whole thing, knowing that it's not all going to be that cool seeing those grand standings. I believe it's still worth the watch even though it's not all of them. besides, this is a great opportunity for politicians to make a good scene

I regret that I cannot follow the impeachment proceeding as I usually go out late from work and have a busy schedule. Nonetheless, it is really advisable to watch the trial. I expect and hope that truth will come out and justice be served as soon as possible.
It is really an exciting part of history which our politician should take a lesson from.

Most likely the news would all be dedicated to these proceedings, from TV, radio and newspapers. This is the flavor of the month and more dramatic than any tele-novela on TV. Since I would be home working on my online jobs, I think my afternoon will be spent watching the drama unfold. This is better than those afternoon soap operas. This is a part of history something that only happens in the Philippines.

Lucky for you then. Indeed watching the proceedings is more worthwhile than the tele-novelas being offered by big television networks. I couldn't agree more that such drama really unfolds only in the Philippines. However, I wish that we can project a positive image before the international community after this, and that justice really be served.
As I go to the office this day, I heard that there were people lobbying in support of Corona. I feel that there is an influential and self-claimed big religious organization behind this assembly. That religious organization that has been backing the previous president who is similarly hungry of power.

I will not be watching the impeachment proceedings. Not because I am siding with Corona, but rather there are more important things that we should focus on. I remember the days of the trials of then President Joseph Estrada and in my office no work was done when the trial was on because everyone was glued to the proceedings. I hate it that it has become an "in" thing for our legislators to have a public trial in order to show the public that they are "concerned" with affairs of our country. Nothing good has ever come out of it. The Erap impeachment, ZTE-NBN and others. Nothing good has ever come out of it, aside from these trials becoming similar to the mindless tele-novelas shown on TV.

I hope you will take some time to watch the proceedings in as much as this is a true to life drama more than any telenovela can duplicate. These situations happen only in the Philippines and I bet you everyone would be glued to the TV sets around this time with most if not everyone giving their own opinions. During the Erap impeachment, I really suffered from lack of sleep because we would stay up watching the drama unfold over TV. The whole day at the office was spent discussing and analyzing the proceedings, each with their own comments. My only hope is for nothing untoward to happen, No more EDSA revolution for me.

Hello Yahnee, If there was Nothing else to watch, we will watch the trial even though it will like any probe. but this time it's going to be the CHief Justice, which we know has attempt to save Arroyo in finalizing her escape which has failed. right now, I am sure they are ready for it. probably watch a few probes and do other things later

I really would like to watch the impeachment. But i think, i can only on some days, because i get to arrive home, sometimes just as the news will be ending.
But i hope they will run it on some channels, on weekends, where people who were not able to watch on weekdays, can watch them.
But i think, just from the news you can get the gist of how the proceedings is going on.

It would be good if there would be a live coverage of the whole event so that ordinary people have an access to the uncut and untainted edition of the trial. I think you are right that the opinions on the television made by other politicians seems biased most of the times. I would love to go If I could get one of the seats to watch it live in the courtroom however I can't because of my location. I just hope that whatever happens, it would impact the nation in a positive way.

I want to watch the impeachment trial of Justice Corona and hope this trial will be finished because Joseph Estrada's impeachment trial was not finished so it left us hanging how the senate would come up a decision, hopefully this will come to an end and with a just result.

This is about the chief justice, I presume. Forgive my naivete since I haven't really followed the news lately. I don't think I'd also be watching the coverage of the proceedings. This doesn't mean that I'm not concerned about the current state of our country though. And I do hope that the trial would be fair and truthful and void of any political bias. I just have a lot more personal things to do right now :)
