I cooked it for more than half an hour and gone in less than 10 minutes
Should i be happy or not?
By my mom's request,i cooked a kilo of carbonara this afternoon.I was so happy while cooking because its only now after six months that i will cook carbonara again. .Mom was so excited to see me cook because "she" don't know how to cook carbonara even if it is her favorite. She watch me cook and happily serve the dish after i had it done.
As i was cleaning the kitchen, mom called me and told me to get myself something to eat,i was so shocked when i entered the dining area..
I cooked a kilo and this is all that is left of me in less than 10 minutes..
I am so happy to see that they seem to like what i cooked. And also sad because if mom didn't get me a plate i am sure i didn't have the chance to taste what i cooked.
I think i need to cook carbonara more often. What you say guys?

Heck! Late again as always I love food and if you have a great dish that I can go with... yoiu wont find anything left on the second wink
The dishes that are yummy, and better done, just vanish and that is what certifies that they were done the right way... It is the best compliment for chefs and we the people who cook at home
Next time: Invite me before you start cooking this one. I would love to have my share

No worries. Mom will not have to run around to find me and then tie me up... I will be on the right place before you start serving... please dont ask me to serve or assist you in the kitchen because if you do so...I am sure that none of those delicacies will ever reach the tables

I always have the same problem here too, sometimes I have been slaving in the kitchen for about half a day. After all the food is ready and I put it on the table, it takes about 15 minutes for everything to be gone. You are right, on the one hand I am happy they like the cooking, but considering all the effort I put in, I don't know. The thing I do now, is take out a plate for myself first, before I put it on the table for everyone else to eat. Happy cooking!

Sounds like they really enjoyed your carbonara. Now I have a question for you.
What is carbonara? I tried looking it up on the internet and it sounds like it is a sauce. But, I am not sure.
I would say you need to make the carbonara alot more often.

WOwo!! A kilo just gone in ten minutes??HArgh, I would love to taste it!(^^) Carbonara is yummy! We rarely have it as it is e bit expensive here so we just have it once in a while. We usually bought carbonara in cans-even if there is why to cook but simply lazy to do so. Since everyone in your family like it you should cook that more often sis! It must be so delicious as it gone in just ten minutes!!!(^^)

Na....I will feel surprised if she can eat all them up by herself alone~
Nine people for a kilo of carbonara... I think that is not enough~ Each will want to eat it twice..You should cook more than that! No wonder you can't get a bite!LOLz(^^)
...or you did have a bite of it,eh??(^^)

Hey tamirs,
I feel very uncountable when I see a tasty dish in front of me. I unknowgly eat all of them without keeping anything for others. At first before eating I think to eat them little bit but it's taste made me swallow the whole food with utensils .
Hey tamris,
Bake Carbonara for the next time when you cook them.OK ?

I think it must give you joy, because it shows that the carbonara isn't bad at all. When people eat sometimes really fast it is saying that it is delicious and maybe they will ask you more often to make it. My mother can make really good potatoescookies. It sounds weird, but they are DELICIOUS!

Hi Tamirs,
You should definitely be thankful because they all like what you cook. As what you said, it's been six months since you've cook it...so you should definitely feel happy.
In my case, I am no good in cooking so for sure, they won't eat it like that. I've cook one before and I was so disappointed because they did not eat it...and I just threw away what's left the next day because it might damage. And I then concluded not to cook carbonara again. I am just a trying hard person...^^
I can learn someday...and practice makes perfect but I know it will really need a lot of time to do that...^^
And yeah, good thing that there's something that's left for you.
Have a nice day.

Yeah, I agree on that. And hopefully In time I will be good in cooking. And I want my family members to appreciate my cooking from then on. I actually love cooking...but I couldn't practice anymore now because of the less time I have...now that I always come home really tired these days from work. I even have only few time with my online sites...and other sites.
Anyways, I am hoping for the best..and better luck for me. ^^

Well, be happy at least you won't worry about left-overs . I would suggest that you cook carbonara only on special occasions because your family might get tired of having the same dish over and over again. Or, you can make some variations to the dish like adding veggies or changing from bacon to tuna.

wow tamirs that was a great carbonara that you cooked judging about how much they liked it and ate it.You love to cook and it
must show in the results. I am not sure I have ever had carbonara
much as I love pasta dishes. I am glad your mom saved a plate of
it for you so you got to taste your own cooking

Wow it sounds like they really, really liked it, but I think I would be very upset if I took that kind of time to cook something and then people just ate it all and did not save me any, that was not very nice at all not to save you any. It sounds like you make it really good though and perhaps should make more next time, and perhaps more often, I hope you get some next time you make it.

You must cook really well. If you're a restaurant, you would be happy if the food you have prepared will vanish in a matter of minutes. It would be a different matter if the food you cooked would be left untouched. You wouldn't like that either.

I saw it made on a TV cooking show once and made it for my family. They loved it. I mean they LOVED it and there wasn’t any left for the next day. The recipe was really easy… beating up some eggs with salt and pepper and garlic and oregano. I boiled the spaghetti and took them out of boiling water and put them immediately into the egg mixture and stir it into it.. the egg mixture cooks onto the hot noodles… and then I add crispy bacon bits into it…. Yummy! It’s just three things to do. I’m sure there is a more sophisticated way to make this dish, but this is how I made it… I may make it again sometime.

I like to eat carbonara.I guess you really cooked well for them to eat and finished it for about 10 minutes only.It is really yummy and delicious.I must say that you are a good cook.
Same case here in the house,my father is a really good cook who always cook for us during meals. After cooking a delicious food then after ten minutes or more it is already gone.
