Poor Neighbors

Last night, I wanted to watch Wil Time Big Time because my neighbors were included in the Putukan game of that show. I was not bale to see them cause I had an appointment with some workmates. My mom was happy for our neighbors cause they won P19 000. This morning, a very disappointing story about their winning has spread. The person who booked for our kabaranggay's watching at Wil Time Big time took their prize. She just gave the 4 winners P1500 that they still have to divide for the 4 of them. I feel bad for them cause they practiced for the dance and bought some clothes for their uniform. At least, the one who took the money did no't get everything. She was only able to get P14000 because the P5000 the contestants got on the elimination round was kept by one of the contestants. When the booker asked where that money was, they said they didn't know...

Your neighbors did rather well in the balloon bursting portion of the TV program. I watched it last night and I sympathize with their sad experience. I have heard the same story from my neighbors who participated in the same show last December. They won something like Php 50,000 however someone from the station told them that they have to pay a percentage out of their winnings. My neighbors got home with Php 10,000 poorer. They were told that this deduction is a tax or whatsoever it is called. I don't actually watch this show since there are better TV programs where I can devote my attention. I don't like the way they take advantage of the poor. If they really want to help, do it the proper way. MTRCB better watch out for this scheme.

The one who booked our barrangay's trip their is not a staff of that show. She is also our kabranggay. I think she got greedy. My poor neighbors even paid for the transportation too....I pity them. My brother suggested that Willy should be informed about this thing.

Your brother is right. Willy should be informed of this. I think, if he will know about it, he will not permit that somebody will take advantage of your neighbors, who did their best to win .

I guess she has no right to get the price from the contestants. If ever she has, it would be up to the contestants to give her an amount as "balato" only.

Sorry I misspelled the word, it is prize not price.

I have never watched this show. Is it similar to the typical noontime shows? Anyways, that was an awful thing to do by that person. It's just plain greed on his or her part. It's okay if he'd requested a percentage of the winnings. It's like a service fee for doing the nitty-gritty of getting them booked. It's a typical business practice. But getting more than half the winnings is going way too far.

This is not right. Getting only like 1/16 of the winnings, that is too much.. Well, have they tried reporting it or something? They should at least so that everybody knows where the money is going. This is really unfair for their part. You spend so big for the things for preparation and thats what you only get. _ That is really frustrating whoever the person is getting all the prizes..

Oh my I didn't know it can happen. They worked hard for it and only got 1500 which was even divided into four of them! Next time if your neighbors are gonna join any contest it is better they book themselves and not ask anyone else.

Its not easy to join a game show and even harder to win. Your neighbors may have been scammed unknowingly and should have this matter looked into. Its a shame that there are despicable people who like to take advantage of the less fortunate.

this is a very unfortunate and maddening news. how could the winners be deprived of their winning prizes? they should get what they had won. eventhough they might have sponsors who paid for their fares and uniforms, the bulk of the prizes must go to the participants. they must be rewarded for their efforts. this is sickening.

Sad indeed to see how other people leap from the sweat of others. I hope they can follow up the case to find out what happened to their money.
