The Chines Spring festival is approaching. Those who left home to work want to go back home to get together with the whole family. As is known to all, China is a large country in population, so many people go back home at these days, no doubt the train is so crowded although the government tries its best to solve the problem. At present, many clever people think an idea that they go back home via some other places. For example, he wants to go to Guangzhou from Beijing, he first goes to Thailand and than to Guangzhou.

I am the type of person that has clever ideas to get back home or to where I need to go. I wanted to go to Plymouth because the weather was hot and sunny. To make the day out cheap I got a day return from Worle to Taunton and then another day return from Taunton to Plymouth.
Today I booked two train tickets for the day I go from the airport to home. To avoid engineering works and high train fares I bought a ticket from Gatwick Airport to Clapham Junction. Then another Clapham Junction to Worle. It cost 9 pounds add 34 pounds compared to seventy three pounds and some of the journey by coach.
Going Beijing to Thailand and then onto Guangzhou is brilliant. After the spring festival the trains will be busy so any possible route via somewhere else is worth it. I once saw a movie and a Chinese family were stuck for days until they could get train tickets back home. Good luck.

Yes, you are right. It was very difficult to buy ticket to get back home especially on Holiday Season. I am coming from Indonesia and I wanted to go back but I didn't go back because the prices of the ticket was very difficult. It's good to go back on Holiday but we have to be ready spending more than we should spend in the low holiday season.

I cannot agree with you more! It is very lucky for me because my school is in the province with my hometown so it is relatively easy for me to buy the ticket back home. But my roommates whose hometowns are in other provinces are no lucky any more. They are busy preparing to buy tickets almost half a month before the day they decided to go back and make lots of calls and go to the train station for many times and maybe finally they can not buy the tickets through to their hometown. Really the condition could be better.

Wow. I love the Chinese celebrations, very spectacular in deed. I wish Chinese new year would be during the holidays but unfortunately, it only happens after people go back to work which limit the number of visitors from other countries who would love to witness the lovely new year events in China.
