DESTINATION : THE PAST
MISSION : ERROR CORRECTION
I was just having a chat with my friend and I was saying I wish I didn't make some of the choices I made .She in turn said to me ,remember your philosophy "you can only make choice you deem best at that particular time based on the best available data" .Once again ,her words prove to be so profound .
I gave you all of that background information because it had me wondering if I could turn back time what would I have done differently .Or do you believe that all the mistakes or missteps was for a reason and you would never change anything.
So are you going to take up the once in a lifetime capsule ride to turn back time ?

Hi ronnyb, I guess most of us have thought about going back in time and making changes, at one time or another, I know I have. I've come to the conclusion however, that I wouldn't change anything. I feel there is a divine order to our lives, and we even may have had a say in it. If we were to make changes, who knows what these changes would have meant? What new people would have come into our lives? What new dangers? What about the people we met because of our choices? Some have certainly become good friends who have influenced our lives for the better. We have learned many valuable lessons by what we call 'mistakes'. I wouldn't change a thing. Blessings.

For me, turning back time is not to be explored. Your friend's advice was very sound. We have arrived at this point in our lives because of the decisions we made in the past. We are the sum total of our perception, understanding and experience. We may be influenced to a greater or lesser degree by others but finally we have to decide for ourselves where we want our lives to go.
Let's embrace the present and leave the past exactly where it is. We may want to visit it from time to time and that's fine but let's not dwell in it.

I'll pass on that ride......If you go back in your mind, to any particular point in your life, and delete that event, or person met........then look at all that would have changed if that hadn't happened. It's a bit like, If I.....then this..... You will see that all 'wrong' choices (those we thought were a good idea at the time) had a purpose, it led to the the next step in our life. I have always believed 'Things happen for a reason', even though we might not 'see' what that reason is at the time. I have been through three divorces, were the marriages worth that? Yes, I have two beautiful daughters! So, take your trip back in time if you must, but before changing anything, ask yourself.....If I change this one thing, how would it affect the rest of my life and those I know?

According to the Hindu philosophy whatever mistakes we have committed presently or which we are suffering now is due to our past actions whether in this birth or the past so many births and lives we have lived before this one. This is the law of Karma. However we can learn from our mistakes and by doing some good actions we can erase or modify our lives and prepare for a better life in a future birth. In every birth we evolve either upward or by repeating the same mistakes again suffer.Someone has said that every saint who has lived on earth has been a sinner once,so there is hope for mankind because one day or the other we are all going to go back to the Source,or what we call as God.

I think it's better to leave the past in the past. If we try to change it, we might make things worse rather than better. Repent for and learn from the mistakes we've made and go on with our lives.

I think there always comes a time in our lives that we think, wow if we could go back in time and change this or that then I would do this differently or that differently. However, if we did things differently then I dont believe we would be at the point we are now, and from what we have done has taught us to become who we are now. That being said, would I choose to take a capsule back in time to change things up..... I dont think so, because I believe that we choose the path that is laid out for us and we need to learn as we go to become smarter and better. all though, I have to admit it is tempting. LOL
Happy Mylotting!! :)

I always loved the tv show Quantum Leap, putting right what once went wrong was a great idea for a fiction tale. But coming back to reality life has it's reasons for everything that we face. I often wonder why I chose so many things that seemed wrong at the time but I know each thing in my past has made me who I have become today. If the wisdom to help others not make the same mistakes is there, than this could be the reason for the lesson.

I may have been hurt badly and struggle in the past. If there is any time capsule available to fix those things up - I think I will never go and correct it. I do think everything that happened in the past has reasons. In between those times there were happy moments too. So I wouldn't want to have it erased too. Coz If I fixed one wrong thing there others (happy things) might be affected too. So now that I still can do something about my future, I think I need to do well this time.

It would be bothersome to go back. I have regrets, but they are not that big a regret for me to want to go back to the past and change it. Maybe if it involved me killing someone then that is something we should want to undo.
I believe that things, even bad ones, happen for a reason and that in the end everything will turn out right as long as we learned from those past mistakes.
