Dropshipping, is it worth trying?

I've looked into dropshipping off and on for years now. I have yet to take the step to try them out. They seem to be a viable source of income but the prices are a bit higher than I had hoped which is whyu I haven't actually signed up to try them out. Has anyone else tried dropshipping and if so how well has it worked for you? Is it worth trying out for myself? Which dropshippers are the best?

My mother had signed up for Doba.com a drop shipping site but she wasn't doing anything with it so I took over her account. Setting up the sales took at least half an hour and the one thing that ever sold lost money from all the fees taken out. I found out that she paid for her account on there which is one thing that I found in my research that legit drop shipping sites won't require because you'll make enough money for them doing your job. I read that if you find the right site it can be profitable, but more often than not the site you are going to find isn't that one. I don't know of a reliable one, and personally, I don't plan on trying again. I spent several hours working on selling stuff only to lose money. Not worth it.

That's the same site I checked into. Didn't seem worth it to me. The profit margin was so small and after I took the fees to sell their items into account I didn't see that there would be any real earning potential. THanks for the reply sweetlil7up.

No problem. Glad to save someone some money. The problem is that when all the fees add up you have to make the item so expensive that no one wants it, or lose money.
