Do you blog for pleasure or for money?

There are probably millions of blogs on our planet and many bloggers are blogging to follow and share their passion or favourite topics. Most of them have a small traffic (something like 20 visits per day checking on Alexa and similar sites), some of them die after few months. However we have also bloggers that are really engaged to make the difference on line with thei blog and those study SEO, key words, apply Ads, and manage the blog as a Company...maybe they do not have passion for the topics they write about, but (after a research) they know that those topics are great for high paying ads...so everything is managed with a money target mission. And you? How do you blog?

I would say that my long term goal is to blog for money, which is what I have tried to do in the past. I have found that I have learned a lot about SEO, keyword research, etc. by trying out a lot of different blogs and websites. I would say that up until now, I have been mildly successful, but not on an ongoing basis. My best earning blog that I started on Blogger ended up getting deleted as a spam blog - not sure why, since I made all of the posts myself.

I blog because I enjoy doing it. I have three blogs now and my oldest blog ranks in search engine and that is one of my achievement online. I monetize my blog too, again my oldest blog also is the reason why I am earning extra money.

i have a DIY cooking blog and I posted my recipes there. I like to share my recipes with others. Whenever I cook something delicious, I will update my blog with the new dish. So it is not for money at all. I do it for fun. Although I like earning money with my blog but I don't know how to start it. Perhaps I shall find a specific blog to it? I love China

I blog both for money and pleasure. I am satisfied when my blog looks good, and more satisfied if I can earn some money from it as well. My blog is still new. I've got to wait for about 6 months or so. It takes time to build up traffics so patience is need ed here. I have recently used custom domain which I paid $10 per year. I don't rent hosting since I am afraid that hosting sometimes is offline. I trust blogspot as a hosting.

Maybe I blog for both. The very reason why I created a blog is to record down everything I know, everything I love and jot down my complaints on certain things. I guess I want to record down everything about me in my blog but then it came that I have to blog to get referrals of my own on certain sites. Despite that I am not very okay with my charisma, at least I am starting to learn. So I say that the reason I blog is not only for one of your given options but both and for learning.

I blog for money. I think this is a good way to earn passive money. Unfortunately, as of now I am not earning some. I guess it is also very hard to earn from blogging. You must have a good traffic. My blog is just 2 month old. I am looking forward to earn money soon.

And if all that doesnt happen i guess i still have so much self realisation to do!!

I used to blog before when there was still yahoo 360! I gained a lot of good friends from that blogging site and all of us do blogging not out of money. Since we are not being paid, our purpose is simply to share significant things about ourselves, our families and everything significant in our lives. Now, its different thing. I am trying to do blogging, or write articles or post reply on certain topics because I wanted to earn online. I want to make the most out of being online most of the time. At least my time is not wasted with unimportant things on the net.
