There's very nice quarter moon out there this morning where I'm at. I love the moon in a blue sky! Are you much of a sky or stargazer? Noticing the moon or the stars at night?

I love to do the stargazer thing. When I was in Oklahoma I would set outside in the evenings and look up at the milkyway. Couldn't sleep cause it was too hot. Here in Idaho I watch the Dippers and we have an occasional meteor show. I have stayed outside over night watching for those.

I watched the meteor showers one year with my kids and husband, it was great! The same year my brother and his wife and their kids just happened to be laying on their deck in sleeping bags not knowing about the meteor showers but were pleasantly surprised to see them! That would be fun especially being unexpected!

I really just happen to notice that it was in the east at night and the west in the morning

I love to watch the stars at night. My greatest moment was one year I saw Saturn without a telescope. You could see the little moons too. It was great. Jupiter has been around this year. Of course, just seeing stars makes the trip worthwhile.

I love to watch the sky at night! But I live in a middle of a big city and this happens very rarely. I raise my head although and I watch the little parts of the sky. This evening, going home from work, I saw a big star and it was beautiful.

hi! A lot of times the big, bright stars are planets! I find that so fascinating and wish I always knew the difference!

I love too. I used to do it when we're staying in a house where I can fully see the sky. Now we are staying in a place where I couldn't actually look out and see the night sky. I haven't been out most of the night and no wide window and space to look up at the stars. All I can see was the walls and houses of our neighbors The last time I gazed at the star was some years ago, me and friends were at the beach and we're just lying in the sand and gazing at the stars.

That's a nice memory. I would miss the night sky if I couldn't see it, even though I don't look at it half as much as I should!

Hello, flowerchilde. I am very interested in the sky. I believe that the constellations themselves have the story of the relationship between YAHVAH (GOD) and man. I know that they are a story about the coming of the mighty one. Yashua. I see the moon as the law given to Moses and the same by which the Hebrews developed their calendar. I see the sun as the bright and morning star, which is Yashua, and the basis of the gregorian calendar. I see the signs in the comet Halley which in times past predicted events and still does today (2061 it will return). I love all things associated with the sky. To me they tell me the unedited story of YAHVAH, and how he created everything. This is what I see. This IS what I see. Have a great day. :) :)

How very interesting! I have heard a little about this before, but don't know too much except something about the gospel message being in the constellations, the virgin being one.. I'm rather fascinated with how the ancient Hebrew days began at sunset! And the months began with the new moon, and then there was the moveable feasts because they depended upon counting days from the new moon, not having calendars and computers as we do now to compute all these things, kind of a computer in the sky.

Any time there' s a clear sky here or the moon is visible,I like to be able to look up and check out the consellations I'm familiar with or the moon phase..seeing shooting stars or a comet up there is amazing...unfortunately,street lights where I live spoil the effect most of the time, though I live in a country area where it's still possible to get away from light pollution and enjoy a starry sky...this reminds me,there's a tv show starting here about stargazing...must check it out!

We used to have a great weekly mini 'show' a guy named Jack Horkeimer told what was of note in the week's nightsky. I really miss that show!

Oh yes, I lived in the city so long that when I am out in the country I just stare at the stars and moon. They are quite wonderful to see.

There are too many man made lights, where I live, to see the stars; but I do enjoy the moon when it's especially bright.

That's a very nice view. Well, Im much of a sky or stargazer. I love the sky, especially when it's night. I could see my favorite star. I don't know it's name, but it's the brightest and it glows with different colors. Looking at the sky makes me happy, especially when i feel tired. The sky keep me calm. I'm very fascinated by it.

Is this star high in the sky? It could possibly be the star "Vega"..
