Is mobile internet too expensive in india?? How is it in other countries??

Hey friends, am from India and here while mobile edge internet is cheap and affordable, its very slow and many operators also cap the speed.. Eg- Airtel, the top provider caps the speed at 80kbits/s and that is just unethical.. And 3g is too expensive. The cheapest pack will cost you around Rs 1200/- for 5gb data for a month!! That is around 25 US $..
So whats your take on this???

I live in Indonesia and I use AXIS for my mobile connection.
It's cheap and the fastest among other mobile internet.
I only pay IDR49000 a month or about $6 for unlimited.But if I need more speed, I could pay $10 or $15.
But I prefer this services, cause it's enough to be here without problems.
There is a war about prices in Indonesia, but I keep loyal to AXIS.Cause for me, it isn't about the price but more about the speed.
While AXIS give both of it.

hi, I am from India too.. I have used my cell phone for myLotting for a long time. Now, it is gone for repairs. 3G is definitely more costly here.. And the normal internet is not really satisfactory. However, recently my Vodafone network has been doing very well.. I am just waiting for my phone to get back on track, so that I'll be able to be here on myLot all the time... :)

am using edge. but its 100/month. its very slow. posting a cmmnt will take like half min or somethin. hope some changes will be made.
