I have a site now and I have a little problem, facebook doesn't like the free domain name I got with it. So now I gotta get a new domain name to put inplace of the one I got, the question is what service should I go with? Before anyone says 'go to this host' I don't want my site actually hosted there I jut need the domain name. I am very happy with the hosting site I have, after all it has no ads on it and allows you to put ads on it a well without spending a dime. I imagine there are a lot of domain name providers out there, so any information you guys got on it would be greatly appreciated. Far as this kind of stuff I'm kind of lost really.

i use Godaddy for a few years already. Do remember to search for discount coupon before you place you order :)

I won't be using Godaddy, I refuse to use it. When I decide on a place though I will look for a coupon to it, thank you.

Well at first my pure hatred for the service was because of the commercials, the sexist commercials pissed me off quite a bit. Though I was talking to a friend of mine who owns a domain company yesterday, found out they have a lot of crappy things mixed in with their services. Such as if you don't renew within the 12 day grace period you can be charged an $80 fee. So its not a good service and they have poor taste when it comes to commercials.

You can find a lot of services to register your domain. First i'm not sure that you will find the specific one, because all good domains are already registered. So one most used is godaddy.com where you can register, but if you already you have server and site i think that you have option in your CPanel where from there you can register your domain. From there and you can make some settings with redirections of your existing domain to the new one. I hope that i have help, if you need some more help just ask.

I know on my site I can upgrade to a premium account and get a domain taht way, but that takes a monthly fee and is filled with things I don't really ned right now. So I'm hoping to find a cheap domain to go through. Godaddy is the one site I hear about from so many people, and its the one site I flat out refuse to use because of their commercials.

The for sure you need to change your hosting, because is strange that after your upgrade to premium and how you say is filled with things that really don't need. When you have your own good premium hosting you are the one which is putting what you want, not them. So see little better about this, or provide some more details about your account and i'll answer to you.

Its not that the items aren't needed period, its that I personally do not need them. I don't need a big fancy site, its just a brush supply site for the corel photoshop program. I am the one putting what I want on my site without premium, the hosting site works fine. I just need a domain name seller, I found that co.cc gives domains with co.cc away for free so I'm going to check into it.

I always use Godaddy to register domains, I have quite a few and find them pretty easy to deal with and inexpensive. What was wrong with your original domain? Facebook didn't like it? Is it blocked or something?

Yeah facebook blocks the basic domain of net63.net, I filed to have it repealed but since its not my domain and is my hosting companies I doubt I'll actually get to post it on facebook. I told the hosting site about facebook blocking it but I never got a response so I have no clue whats going on with that.

You can register a free .com.ar domain at the official site www.nic.ar, the domain register from Argentina if you don't care to have a .ar in yuor address. A friend of mine has many domains registered there without any problems.

Yeah, there are a lot of domain name providers. I know Godaddy and it has worked good for me. Or you can try to look at this link too. There is some info in here, http://www.domainsuperstar.com/how-to-choose-a-domain-name.

As I have said to everyone above who has suggested godaddy, I refuse to use the company. I don't care if I'm a protest of one, it won't make me use it. That site looks to be okay far as information but its not what I need, I know what I'm going to use I just need to find a place to buy it.
