How do you escape from the slump following the afternoon nap?

After lunch in the company, we usually have a half-hour nap.
After waking up, I often feel tired and sluggish. I usually take about an hour to recover mentally. Or I have to drink a cup of coffee or eating a candy ginseng for back to health.
I do not know this really normal? Or I have health problems?
How about you? Whenever you have a problem like me?

You are lucky to get a nap at work. I don't work and take a nap almost everyday. I never feel sluggish after the nap. I usually feel more refreshed and sharper than I do before the nap. I don't know if feeling tired after a nap means you have a health problem or not.

I've losen the habit of having a nap after lanuch for many years, even though I know it's really good for my health. But, there are no time for you to nap in our working environment and habit, only one house left for launch and rest at noon. So I ever thought always that from now on I must space a little time for physical exercise, but i always failed.

I must say you are really lucky you get to sleep for half an hour at work place. Well I work from home and I take a power nap of 15-20 minutes after lunch. In summers I would feel slouched for 5-7 minutes after getting up from nap, but I would wash my face and compose myself before my students would come. I think it is normal to feel slumped after a nap because though we sleep yet our mind is not at full rest as we know we have to get up in 30 minutes or so. It is fine to take a cup of coffee or tea after waking up as it makes us feel fresh again.

I used to nap about an hour in the office during lunch time caused we used to eat lunch half hour earlier so when 12:00 noon arrive, all are almost done eating and ready to relax or nap.
A cup of hot coffee could really help me to wake up after a nap in the afternoon when I feel still sleepy.

We don't have nap times at my place of work. But I have experienced taking a nap and feeling sluggish after waking up. There might be lots of reasons why we feel that way. It could be from lack of sleep the night before. It might also be some problems with our oxygen intake, they way we breathe. Stress or emotional problems could also cause those. But I think it can really be somewhat of a health reason. I mean, I was told that if I'm healthy, I wouldn't always feel tired and sluggish even after having a nap.

A half-hour nap at work?
We don't have that so no trouble to feel fresh (unless you eat too much).
Mostly we go for a short walk after lunch. Just haning around or sleeping (too short to sleep) is the way to collaps I guess.
If I sleep in the afternoon (when I am abroad and the weather is too hot for example or I feel sick) I need 1-2 hours to recover from that frequently. Also because my face can be swollen awfully :-(
But must say it can be relaxing too not to feel completely awake and slow down with what I have to do (automatically).
