I always choose topics which I think interest the majority and doesn't exert the brain too much to respond. Don't allow your discussion to go 'stale'. Reply to all your responses as they come in as it will ensure your discussion remain visible to those who just logged in. When the discussion don't get responses or comments from you then it will be relegated to the bottom thus making it invisible to the rest, while constantly refreshing your discussions with comments ensure that it is always in active circulation and attract others to respond. You have to compete with hundreds of discussions here and the only trick is to draw your readers attention with a catchy title and of course with interesting contents so they would respond without second thoughts.

hi I have been on mylot starting five years and only been on top discussions maybe ten times. You do not get paid anymore for it and with so many discussions here not many of us no matter how good our discussions are will get on the top ones. I have however been on hot a lot. I try to do quality discussions and take pains writing them and edit them for errors too. the only tip I c an give anyone is just do quality stuff and have fun and sooner or later you will be more apt to get on the hot list as you will get a bunch of responses. none of this stuff gives you any extra earnings if thats your goal. I just do my best and forget about top and hot as I am here to have fun and earn enough to help with my cable internet bill lol. lol.

welcome to mylot. It is advisable to choose a topic which is common for all of us--like hobbies, writing, computer, mylot, make extra money, food, etc. Also we should reply the responses and make it lively in different ways.

My condition is also same since last 2 months no discussion is in top list but I am not worry. I feel happy because my first discussion and first day was in top list.

You just pass your comment like an individual. you will try to give your answer briefly but logically.and you choose the discussion matter that you know very well in my lot.
