a joker husband

Actually my husband doesn't have a joker face, because in fact he has a passive face. He seem to appear like so serious or angry even most of the times. But behind that facade, you will discover that he is a joker. Last night as i am about to sleep, with him ready to sleep too, facing my side, i asked him "Oh, i haven't seen you said your prayer yet?". And he answered so seriously, "yes i did already, in fact i have already finished a rosary". We both burst out laughing, because i know he never say a rosary, much less a lengthy prayer. I would see him praying by being silent for a while ,after which he would do the sign of the cross before he goes to sleep. Oh, it feels good to be able to laugh out laud, just as we are about to sleep! Thanks to my husband, a natural joker!

You are lucky to have a husband who likes joking. But what is important is not the joking itself. People who like joking are not always kind people. There are many silent people (they never joke) but they have golden heart. I mean they are very kind people, generous, and helpful. What do you think about it?

Well, my husband is really a natural joker my friend. And he indeed is a kind person. It's just that he seems to be always grumpy. So, i would always lecture him on being so, and he listens and follows my advise.

Hmm, it seems to me that you two are getting on well like a house on fire. Congrats! Many couples often fall out simply because they don't fit in well. Happy mylotting.

Thanks for saying so my friend. I think for a marriage to last, it must be on both side's effort to keep it that way.

I find it so sweet to both for both of you! I'd like to see married couple laughing/chatting together before going to sleep! I hope I'll see my parents being like that too. My Dad is kind of a joker too. Yet, my mom don't like jokes. Its just me and my siblings who always laugh out loud when my Dad starting throwing jokes!

One of my friends say that when her sons come home for vacation, it is very difficult to get them out of her bedroom. They would be chatting, swapping stories, joking with their dad way past the normal bed time. And her husband too is a natural Joker. May be this humor sense strengthens the bond between father and kids also.

Hi SimplyD, You are indeed fortunate to have such a spouse. I think people are too stressed up and far too serious these days. Maybe it's the work or perhaps the society that makes one so stressed up and frustrated. It's indeed good to be able to see the lighter side of things. Learning to laugh together not only brings joy and closeness to the relationship but is also healthy as well. Have a nice day.

I always talk it out with him, on his being quick tempered. I warn him that if he is always hot tempered, he might one day meet a customer who will get back on him that can cause his job. Or that, he will finally succumb to a heart attack or attack of hypertension. So, he listens and tries to be cool. But even if he has a quick temper , he is naturally a joker. That's what i love about him!

It is good to laugh out loud. I like that myself. I always joke around with my girl. He had what they call a dry sense of humor.

Yes, inertia, it's so good to be able to laugh out loud always, specially when it's done with our partners. It seems to strengthen the bond.

I agree with you totally. I like to joke and laugh all the time. But that is not always the way it is.

My husband doesn't appear funny at all. But you will know that he is joking when you see his impish grin on his face. Indeed a humorous husband is really something to look for, in addition of course to some good qualities.

It is such a nice way to end the day. All the tensions and worries of the day erased with a nice laughter session. But do you feel awkward discussing something so personal on a forum like this? I don't mean the humor aspect. I am just being curious, because I sort of feel that prayer and such religious things are a bit too personal to be discussed in open. May be its something personal to me only

Actually my friend, my husband is not a talker. But he would suddenly throws a joke. So, i learned from him, and adapted it. Hence, when he appears grumpy , i would tell him "You are high blood again!?" . That will make him grin because he doesn't want to be so actually. It's just that he is accustomed to that kind of face. I always initiate being happy when we're together. He follows.

Actually sometimes, it's me who initiates in lightening up the mood. My husband has a passive face and that's what i don't like about him. So, i would always remind him not to have that, and when i do that, he will break into an impish grin and joke. That sets the light mood.

Thank you for saying so, my friend. It's actually me, who sometimes initiates the funny mood. WHenever i see him have his poker face, i would certainly joke about it and he would lighten up and return the joke. Thus, the mood is set into a nice one.
