Dislike button in facebook

This is a new idea and I appreciate it. But so far Facebook doesn't have such kind of "dislike" rating. Perhaps it is afraid this behavior will make many people discouraged. So Facebook only provides "like" button. If people who don't like the picture or video, simplely ignore the "like" button and that's all. I love China

sivaeinfo there is now way that you can dislike a content on Facebook. Nor i think this feature will introduce in future as well. I mean that facebook think that if someone don't like your content on facebook then it mean they dislike you.

I have always thought this would be a good idea, there has been many times I have wanted to tell them I dislke something that has been posted.

It has been a joke with my friends sometimes. When we didn't like a post or a photo we would wish there would be a dislike button. Sometimes we would just put on a comment that we dislike it.

This feature is not present in FB but then it would be a very interesting addition . But then this may sometimes lead to misunderstanding between people. For instance if you don like a comment / photo of a person anf you dislike it the other person may feel hurt/ bad.. Probably to avoid all this it is not present in FB

I personally think it would be fun, but Im sure eventually there would be complaints about bullying and what not among children. Kids gathering together to "dislike" another kids status or photo. I think FaceBook is too commercial now for something like that, bit of a loss but what can ya do?

How I wish there is such a button and if that dislike button be added in Facebook I surely will be the first to use that. There are many posts and photos that I wish I could dislike and certainly I'd be very honest in expressing my feelings in this regard. However, Facebook is designed to be very friendly so that they never really added that perhaps. Didn't you notice that even if you have unfriended someone there they are not even notified?

I have often wondered why there was not a dislike button on Facebook. I think though if there was a dislike button it would probably cause a lot of bickering and hurt feelings. This, in my opinion is why there hasn't been a dislike button included.

I am sure they don't want to put the dislike button to make the environment stay positive. Otherwise I could see disagreements and misunderstandings between members. It will be good with the dislike button so the owner content will know how the responds towards their contents but without it too will give no harm to others. Usually when I don't like the content I just leave it.(^^)

Thats also a good idea since alot of people are now liking their own status. Rating is good also but don't you think that people might get offended with this?

I know! They don't have the 'dislike' option (although--if you really want to 'dislike' something--you can 'like' it and then 'unlike' it). But the BEST thing to do would be to comment on the picture, explaining what you don't like about it.

There is no dislike rating but there is a dislike button, when there is a picture i don't like in facebook and want to dislike it, I will first hit the like button, and then the dislike button will appear, I will gladly hit the dislike button, only for self satisfaction.

hey , this would be good idea if there is button for dislike.but in present there is such facility provided by facebook.because they respect everyone thought and updates.if do not like it then you could comment on it and share your views disliking that post. Or just ignore it or report it as spam,if you found something weird.

haaahh.i have been thinking and wondering about that as well...a dislike button.hehe but unfortunately there is no dislike button, so every time i don't like any pics or videos, comments or post perhaps, i will just write it there " dislike".ehhehe

It really does seem like an obvious addition. I mean if people can really like something, could they also potentially dislike something? That really is something to really think about, obviously either people can like if they like(or really not like, just rather bring attention to the fact that they have viewed it), but if they dislike it, there are no way to register their disapproval. Then again, there are just going to be a lot of times where it could be prone to abuse. Then again, like buttons can be prone to great abuse as well. So really you can have it both ways. YouTube, if I'm rather not mistaken has its share of likes and dislikes on each and every video. Granted, there might be reasons why Facebook might choose not to do it. Oh well, it is just a minor flaw compared to the many with Facebook.

Yes this is indeed a very nice idea. When we can express something we like then we can also express things we do not like. So there should be a dislike button also.

Facebook doesn't provide it's users to have an dislike option to dislike photos and videos. It just provide us liking option for us. I wounder why did not include such an option. Don't you wounder about it ? So if i don't love any of the photo or any thing I just become open minded and post it as comment

Siva, Its really good tactis followed by Face Book inorder to keep their customer satisfed. They really don't want to hurt any peoples content, but as per me the content which are published by few face book users are bad and wrong one, so there should be one dislike button, otherwise face book should remove like button also. Because in general there is a saying "One man's meat is Another mans Poison", so I like to see dislike button in FB. One more remdy for dislike is there, if you don't like a content in FB , you can make remark in comment box as "100 dislkes" , how is it ? Try this method. Have a great day !

i donno how to "dislike" a picture or a message, and its will be interesting to have a dislike button in facebook, but dont you think its rude to dislike anybody, be a sport a "like" everyone.
