"A RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS its perfect and its free, it just happens when we help a friend unexpectedly", very powerful lyrics of a song that I came from, I dont know who the singer is.
But it reminded me of a stranger who showed me so much kindness that will always be part of me.
I was very depressed as I was waiting for my train. Someone very dear to me had just passed away and I got the news, out of no where a lady comes and hugs me and tells me it will be okay. That few moments of hug made me want to live again because after hearing the news all I wanted was to be buried with my friend..
People can surely touch our lives so much, with just one little kindness and does make a lot of difference. How much do we give back, and it just does not cost us anything.
Kindness can even be just giving a smile, or saying the world thank you, or lending a hand to your mother..
We readily take it, but do we give it back in return?

I remembered a lady giving me a random act of kindness, just when i needed it.
I was to give my driver my fare. Unfortunately, what i have in my wallet is a whole 500, and i think it's the driver's first trip. I keep searching for coins, but there was none. When i was done, the lady in front of me in the jeepney, give the driver some coins and told him, "Mama, bayad nya po, (Sir, this is her fare)" looking & smiling at me. I felt so relieved and i thanked the lady profusely.
She said, she has been in the same situation before and a co-passenger also gave the fare for her. So , she's returning that kindness through me.
The next week, i saw a guy in that situation and did my turn too.

A kind gesture can indeed be contagious. The recipient would really like to do it to others too. That way, everybody gets the chance of being kind to anyone at anytime.

Hello simplyd..
Wow, that is amazing.. its like it started from one, and it just keep passing on and on..
its contagious in a good way because when you end up being kind to someone out of no where.. the person does the same when they see someone else - which is really great.
Well I am not a person to hug strangers, but when I was in a public bathroom in a mall. I saw a lady crying, I did not know what it was but I went and hugged her. She was quite surprised and looked at me with amazement, and she smiled. Its like I gave her what she needed,..
She did ask me why I did so and i told her, because I needed it once and I got it - so i thought u needed it 2 !!
I guess she might have passed it to someone too :)
Wow, just one gesture can do miracles.
Thanks for ur nice reponse dear.
God Bless u.

I think if the world had a lot more kindness in it, more cooperative, more giving. Random acts of kindness are always welcome but I always feel bad when I can't return it and try to repay it. I have cried at times feeling unworthy of it at the time, but I ultimately appreciate it. There are many times I wish I could just impulsively make things better for my friends, but most of them are in other states.
But yes, the world needs more of it. Much more of it to go around. ^_^

Well your thought is also a way of showing kindness. Sometimes we really can not do anything because of certain situations, but even thinking about it, wanting to do it, is kindness in disguise. So your friends are very lucky to have you, you care and think so much about them.
I am sure u will get lots of chances to spread the kindness around :D
Thanks for your response.
For me that is kindness shown to me :)
Cheers

extending a helping hand with no expectations of having something in return is a virtue that everyone should realize as it depicts compassion and empathy. it is quite a rare act of concern to anyone with the intent of helping thereby getting satisfaction or contentment in terms of making a difference.

Free hugs. If i were there with you, i would have hug you too. I'm sorry you lost your friend. . But i admire that lady who comes to you and hug you, she must've knew how you feel and needed someone. I hope that a lot of people are like her. I, myself is willing to help other people, and i usually say thank to anyone who did me a favor. It's good to say thank you always.
