Dear friends, I must tell you what has happened to me this morning.
My Mother wanted to redo the identity card that has lost because of stolen wallets.
We went to the city hall, but to reproduce the document was necessary to have the complaint issued by the police. So we went to the police office and after 1 hour and finally we got that document. So we went back to the town hall but still lacked a particular. Having lost my mother all the forms of identification was required the signature of 2 witnesses, one could be me. but the other? There was no alternative but to call my father and hope that in that moment he could reach. Luckily all went well ile, my father and I have signed in a few minutes, and so my mother could again be in possession of his long-awaited identity card. Note that a strike was going on the bus, so all of our walking trips have taken place. Positively say that sometimes a little movement is good for our health!

Identity card? sheesh, nobody here would put up with that, They'd burn it if they tried to make them carry one and go after the politicians who came up with such an insane bureaucratic idea. I think Italy must be a police state but the UK is becoming one too.

You need to show some Id if you are opening a bank account, like a utility bill, passport, driving license but nobody here will put up with some incompetent cretinous left wing politician like Gordon Brown forcing them to carry an identity card, he tried to do it before he got thrown out of office for destroying the UK economy and looking the other way while the casino banks were carrying out their looting operations. The fact is that around 70% of government IT projects in the UK fail, they don't work at all and they spend billions on them, so Brown and his corporatist cronies would have spent billions on an unnecessary and tyrannical system, that wouldn't have worked anyway.

In fact now, in some States, they want i.d.s for voting! This is a ploy by Republicans to keep liberals out of the voting booths because many of the democrats are elderly, disabled, or college students who don't always have a photo i.d. - or the funds to get one. Even a non-driver's license photo i.d. costs well over twenty dollars - which is more than some have.
Carrying i.d. cards, too, is advised in some states as "proof" of citizenship - because those states want to toss out anyone who even looks like an illegal immigrant...which in their minds means anyone who looks Hispanic.

Hi Alberello,
I had my wallet stolen once and the loss of my money was bad but replacing the driver's licence was just a pain but not nearly what you went through. I had other forms of identity, thankfully so it wasn't so bad. I can imagine it would be a nightmare if you don't have the documents they need. I'm glad you got it all straightened out though and got all your exercise in as an added bonus. It probably didn't seem much like a bonus at the time though, I'll bet.

hi alberello again just reminded me of one day at work I discovered my wallet was not in my handbag and I was so upset. as it had all my various ids needed health insurance card, soc security card, dept of motor vehicles pedestrian senior id.my atm card and medicare card all were in my billfold. the only thing not in there right then was any money. We turned the library upside down but no billfold. I was just worried sick when I got home. then I went into my bedroom, and was going to make my bed when I tripped on something. oh my goodness
it was my billfold and every thing was there where it belonged. then
I remembered I had been looking for something in it and had laid it down on the foot of my bed before leaving for work. I had completely
forgotten that.oh was I relieved as its just awful all the paperwork to go through replacing everything.

I believe that one of the worst things that can happen to you out such as loss or theft of your wallet.
Beyond the money, this is already pissed off, there is the hated having to redo all the steps of such documents: identity card, social security number, driver's license, cash machine, etc..
As you can tell, over insult to injury by having to follow all the bureaucracy that exists behind these procedures.

hi alberello hi again. seems like you and your mom were victims of what I call the domino effect. one thing leads to another which leads to another and all to do with the bureaucracy of life I guess. It may have been an interesting morning or again from your tone could have been very tiring and boring but finally you got the document that was asked for. my the formality having to have two witnesses sounds like some of the times I have had getting anything done at the dept of motor vehicles. and of course the bus strike would have to be right then , the last domino fell.glad you and you mom and dad did finally get it all straightened out.It seems like in most any country any more you must have some IDs. lol. I hope you know about the domino effect where you set up a number of rows of dominoes then touch the first one which knocks down the second which knocks down the third until all the rows of dominoes have fallen down. its an interesting phenomenon but put into practice in ones real life its not all that great.

Sucks isn't it? When it comes to the government office, they working so slow, and you have to be patient with them. You probably have to spend a whole day with them, and they probably won't care whether you are waiting too long or not. I had experienced such ordeal before, and be patient with them. All of our tax money just spend on those lazy bums in the office they thought they are better than all of us.
